leon 2004cupra 180 bhp

where do a start , not really got any major problems, but i have recently bought a leon cupra 180 bhp, the first thing im going to do is get a really good induction kit so looking for any ideas what the best about is?????? don't want to buy cheap shite lol, the only thing iv got for it so far is an auto gauge boost gauge, looking for some ideas where to mount it?? was going to mount it on the a pillar, cause a can't think of anywhere else lol, any1 know any sites that sell decent mounts?????? also would appreciate ideas for simple mods that will look good and benefit the bad boy lol. Really like this car , i'v owned a few japs including a civic type r and completely prefer the leon so much better to drive the type r's just feel like they should have an asbo lol

any help would be appreciated

dont bother with the induciton kit, youre better off with a panel filter mate

Id replace the Diverter valve for a forge 007p too

then posssibly get it remapped, circa 220bhp and 245 lb ft ...that'll keep you happy for 6 months

****ing hell mate that was quick lol, u think the full induction kit is a waste of time then? the reason a wanted to start with that was cause i wanted to get the sound of the car better as it is totally standard and on previous cars that made alot of diff to the sound my next mod after that was a bailey recirculating dump valve cause a really want the wooshhhhhht sound haha, seen a clip on u tube an the car sounded mint, another thing is my car is completely standard the not but when a go thru the gears u can really hear the turbo whistling, is this like normal???????????

What's you budget mate? I would defo get forge DV mate the cars love them if you get induction kit go for Jerez cone filter nice and big and most guys on here run them they also make the DV louder

if you want want to sound then bang a open cone filter on and a forge 007 then you'll hear the turbo

yeah they're quite noisey on boost mate, thats normal

your first three mods would be either a forge 007p or bailey recirc remap and filter (dont use an atmospheric valve on 1.8t lumps they throw limp mode)

stick a jetex filter combined witha remap and it'll whoosh and dump all you want,

no worries mate SCN is always pretty active!

I'm not sure I agree with this.
I had an Ibiza Cupra which is essentially the same engine/turbo etc as far as I'm aware.
Both rack up 180bhp but the Ibiza had a Seat Sport FMIC which I dont think Leon's do...

Anyway I digress,
I had a green cotton panel filter, highly rated by the Ibiza and Skoda lot, Eventually I had the car worked on. I added my own Jetex and intake temperatures increased by 1c but the Gs that the car pulled in (Air) was considerably higher.

I'd personally go for a cone filter and a 007P but its mostly personal preference.

i had all kinds of cone and pannels in my LC ended up with a jabba pannel and a few extra holes in the air box in the end...
looks wise you need to get an LCR splitter, looks good on your bumper and is cheaper at the stealers than it is on flea bay... a good looking mod for under 30 quid is hard to come by so you need to thank the crappy fittings seat put on the lcr to hold them on... if they did there job they would cost a lot more lol
also deffo on the receric valve, i would say forge my self after having them on both LC and LCR amongst others it was the better choice to me, lastly the remap as big go go!!! will be taking audi TT's all day long (unless its wet) you will love it, scooby drivers hate it!!! iv been on both side of that fence lol also another good mod, the pug 207 arial on e-bay about 7 quid, looks a hell of a lot better than the fishing pole on the roof..
