damnnn man thats just ****! i had a problem getting up my hill as my traction control light was just flashing at me... i was like yes great flashing light your not helping me get up the friggin hill! had to turn it off in end and just churn through all the snow. was amusing as i got on my drive, i turned around and some poor guy was in a old astra, and hit breaks and just sliding down it, looked fun though.

My fr is very happy in the snow the traction works really well and the creep on the dsg pulls it over ice at slow speed. Been driving a rwd transit in the day and it been scary as hell but the ibiza is a breeze to drive on snow.

I think some of you need to have a drive of a old car or van

Well my Boc just went straight on into a large metal pole 5 car parking spaces away from mine..... FML

Gutted, sorry mate. The PITA is that its proably not even worth claiming on the insurance due to the excess. Pay all this money though the years.. for what.

Hate snow

Just want it to go now cars engine seems to be making ticky noise for first minutes when turned on would this just be all warming up? Plus when go over bumps everything bangs more noisy I'm guessing because cold, worse news sisters boc bin driven into looks like a right mess

Looks like it's just scratched thankfully. Couldn't see any cracked in the bumper, which is surprising considering how hard it hit the post. I'll have a closer look a bit later. The annoying thing is that the roads have cleared thanks to the sun, but the car park is just as bad if not worse because the sun doesn't reach it...

Snow not to bad here car parks like ice rings tho !

And to answer the question again, f*****g terribly.... Same place, same loss of control, same bleeding pillar and more f*****g damage than yesterday. I'm furious, i'm spending well over £600 on the car as it is this week, dented side of the car, scratches, warping on the side panel, light cracked. FML

Here's a quick picture of the damage: Only took it of the corner but up the side is warped as well.

ffs posted the wrong picture somehow, sorry about that:

Nightmare mate, really unlucky happening twice at the exact same place. Think its time for the bus. Mines has been under a foot of snow for the last 5 days, i've been on public transport and TBH its friggin expensive!

Yeah seems that way. The piss take is that i'm paying maintenance on the building i live in and the car park. The car park has remote controlled massive gates, which obviously helps with my insurance. However the gates have been stuck open for over two and a half months, and now they cant even be bothered to put some grit down. You should see the corner its not only a 90 degree turn but its also on a slope which leads into other cars/ pillars! One bag of grit and this wouldn't have happened. There was another two crashes after mine out there last night.

That sucks mate. Looks like you need a new fender there as the emocion line is buckled, bumper may be ok with a re-spray provided none of the fixing clips are brokem.

Hmmmm, not sure what route to go down to get this fixed. Worth asking the dealer? Last time i had autorestore do my car when someone drove into the side of my old 1.2. I have a service on Tuesday so may as well ask seat to see what they say.

A really good body shop would repair that with lead as it fuses with the body work so doesn't come off with time like body putty. Either way, you will need to vist a body shop buddy.

my missus has managed just fine and weve had sum bad weather up here. she said the fr tdi is much better than our civic vti.i wouldnt personally know as im in cast nd cant drive never mind play ;-(

I can see why some of you are struggling, having picked mine up this morning - if you're used to controlling it on the clutch it's quite unnerving at first

After that... it's fine though, just pulling away on snow is amusing (and throws snow everywhere!)

Still some ice here after the rain last night. Quite funny pulling out the parking bay and all I got was a flashing light for TC/ESP hahahahahahhhahha

So whats the latest wi what seems the 3rd batch of bloody snow, i'm very tempted to just bite the bullet and get the winter tyres/wheels on this car, might be cheaper in the long run and can always sell em along the road a bit on ebay etc...
