my cupra seems slugish after fitting front mount ?

hey all have recently fitted a uni front mount intercooler and induction kit to my mk 3 ibiza cupra and seems slower than it was before :/....
iv put normal intercooler pipe clips on, not the higher pressure ones would it make a difference if i put the high pressure ones on ? maby its leaking boost slightly ?
also this might be correct but will ask neways mines got a stage 1 revo map and boosts at 10psi in 1st and 2nd then 15psi in 3rd and 4th then 16psi in 5th ? does this sound right ?

Have you logged the car to see what figures its producing on the MAF,timing pull and boost?

15psi is just over a bar, my Cupra will produce 18-20psi spike in every gear then tail off so I would say investigate for any leaks and log the car.

Sounds like a leak to me you should hit 20 psi on stage 1 tailing off to 10 near the redline

defo a leak, a revo map is generally quite aggressive so to be pulling 10 psi on boost you need to be checking pipes mate, my leon is stage 1 and i spike at 21 psi, holds at around 18 for a while then starts tailing off towards the redline

If you use Mikalor style (T-Bolt clamps) make sure you do them up pretty much as tight as they go, even after getting my pipes beaded, we found that they leaked on pretty much every join.

depends what boost and timing setting it was set up with , not all revo stage1 maps are hitting 20psi, mine was set up with boost 6 timing 4 , which was hitting 15 psi and holding at 13 psi , cause i specified i wanted a smoother progressive map, i think boost 9 timing five , will hit 20 psi. but i would get the it check for boost leaks mate

hello, have u found out what was the problem? i am having the same problem..no boost spike as before, only aroud 11 psi of boost, car is slow...

Make sure you check all the silicone. I bought the uni kit from ebay and mines was running sluggish. Turns out one of the "brand new" silicone pipes had a split in it!

hi daniboi, what was at fault for your ecu repair? or replacement? and how did you cure the problem? thanks @ sorry i posted on a subject.

iv sent the ecu off to be repaired, as bought 2 second hand 1s but both were fooked
