It's creeping ever forward in my mind mate! LCR's just sit to high as standard. Come July/August when I'm finished college (if I pass all my exams) then I'll no longer have a need to use the multi storey carparks in the city centre and may just have to get the car lowered! Not sure how to go about it though, springs, springs and shocks or coilovers

Yeah do it mate. Will look so much better. That and the remap are the best mods I've done to date I think! FMIC a close 3rd!

I tend to avoid car parks that are unknown to me and don't park near other cars in car parks generally really! Very funny about it and don't trust people with their doors swinging near mine etc.

Good luck with your exams mate!

Tom, you really do love your car dont you? Im the same if im honest, always washing it and being mega careful where i park it/how much distance to leave in a car park cos i dont want my car slammed by someone opening their door lol.

Fair play dude, love your motor is immaculate.

Yes, yes I do  lol.

See my post above to RDS, I'm exactly the same as you in car parks! Always been like it and don't trust the general public really!! And yeah I can tell you keep yours pretty clean all the time. Your car looks great! I've also decided in a few months to go high power silver on the wheel colour like yours  - I think dark looks good but can also look cheap if not done well or too glossy. It's also been done to death, and I like mine when they're clean and bright! So high power silver refurb it is!

And cheers for the comment :)

Haha, I get similar comments from my neighbour next door, she always comes out and asks can I wash her car? My answer is simple, no. Mainly because mine takes allday when I do it!

For me it beats sitting around on some xbox during the warmer months and the end result looks sweet! [B)]

I'm loving your car mate and a whole host of others around on the forum at the moment, RDS, RS6 both making great jobs of theirs too with swift progress. Tom0311 etc, quite a few LCR's are turning up on here and all going the right way. It's good to see.

Good to meet you today dude. :)

Likewise mate!

Saw you reversing out of your space on south bank, the calipers looked BRIGHT mate! :)

Nice pics Tom, car is looking awesome. The fmic hosing looks so nice. As said above it gives a hint as to what's going on when the rest of the car looks fairly subtle! When I get my monies this week I will give mine a good clean and shine. So annoying when the wheels get filthy within 24 hours though :( Hate using it as a daily driver.

I do like the red hosing at the front, was a bit unsure when I ordered it if I wanted it deep down, but turned out ok in the end. The hoses actually need cleaning a bit, they're a bit grubby.

If you are always going to be using it as a daily driver and ever want a wheel refurb, go darker so you can't see the dirt so much lol. Mine used to be a daily driver and I know exactly what you mean bud. Still, it's a bit better in the summer months. Not so much wet dirt and grime getting stuck up in the arches etc.

Yours is coming along well mate, keep it up.

Thanks, bit slow but that's finances for you :( I want to get them refurbed darker, I like G2's wheels with the black powder coat base and silver on top. So I say I'm calling time on the car for a bit but I clearly won't  I think I'm going to go for blue hosing in and out of the bay. But it does mean respraying the brembos at some point. Too much like a copy of yours otherwise :D even though it does look quality, top job and looked after so well.

 That they are! I shifted to the other end of the south bank for a quick exit!

I need to do that next time, so did you head up clearways towards that way?

I went back out towards druid's that way. DK was a couple of cars back. Was quite slow to get out, but traffic was fine once out of the track and had a good blast with Darren on the M25. I lost a MK2 Cupra coming onto the M25, just saw him vanish in my rear view mirror, he was getting on my bumper before the motorway and I thought 'ok let's see what stage your mk2 is' and he soon got left behind.. Then I saw Darren's led's getting closer in my rear view mirror. Was great fun.

Yeah tell me about it. I've not done any modifications since I was made redundant because of my old office relocating to Newcastle. So once my new job is underway I'll get saving and see what things I can get done (while trying to keep the missus happy) before the year is out.

Darker wheels with blue hoses will look mint mate. Have you looked at 'rsmith' LCR on here? That's Robbie, and it's my favourite LCR on this site. He has an Audi R8 wheel colour finish on his BBS rims and has blue hosing. It looks the dogs.

Thanks again. I do try to keep this car clean weekly and check it over the same for any potential problems etc, and now scan the car quite often. Nice to see people recognize the effort that goes in sometimes. :)

I'll have a look for it now, cheers for the pointer. Aye, same here. I've been looking for things to do on vagcom since I got it on Friday, lol.

EDIT: Just seen his RR - got my heart set on blue now. That is a gorgeous LCR.

Yup it's a truly gorgeous LCR and perfection in my view. There's not many on here which make me say that, but that is one. Along with D.K's which is near there too. Also love Ape's, Dannyc87's and JamJay's ovni. And diesel's, JonJay's (Maz) is stunning and a sibling to mine going by the numberplate. :)

Got a quick vid here uploaded from the blast back with Darren yesterday, where he points out my nearside brake light bulb has gone:

I'm sure he might like the vid of his car making some noise ;)

lol same here a quick wash for me will still take a good 2 hours, I would always rather be out with the car than sat on the sofa doing nothing productive.

Thanks Tom, still got a ways to go yet before I'll be done with it, but it is progressing a lot more now.

And its def nice to know when people like your car, makes all the work worth it even more so. :D

Cheers mate.

Tom just a quick heads up on the bright silver wheel refurb.....keep them clean regular. Why? cos the ferodos love bright silver and because of that the intense heat they generate has caused staining and black marks on mine. Mine need touching up now, so a quick wash twice a week should suffice...obviously i didnt lol

Cheers mate, I'm exactly the same with mine I park at the back of car parks as its less likely people will park next to you there, if I cant get there I like to be on the end of the row so I can get right over to one side of the space. Also as its a pain to get the LCR in the yard I knocked the front wall down dug up the garden and made a drive, just so I dont have to park it on the road. :D

Yeah allday long buddy. It's alot more productive, and very rewarding when you see your pride and joy gleaming on the drive! :)

No probs, I make an effort to comment on the car's I like on here where people are doing well.

We ended up being herded out that way anyway Tom!

Lol 'herded'... seems about right for getting out after the BTCC..

Next time I will change my tactics!

Lol, ok mate I get you there. Luckily mine is going to be a weekend driver car now with my new work so shouldn't be too bad, but I do clean it at least once a week, with the odd dash out on the drive like today to get some bird poo off! :ban:

Haha, I do exactly the same. Must be an LCR thing
I just don't trust the public with their swinging doors, and kids getting out of cars with no sort of regulation on the force used to open their door and if it's close to another car it will simply bounce off the other car :-o

Found a couple of stickers wanting to go on today. I don't go mad on loads of stickers all over the car as it can look chavvy! I think these work well though and aren't OTT.

And yes, I know the underside of my bonnet needs a good clean before anyone mentions..

You think yours needs a clean

Like the red one on the back.

It does in my eyes mate

You'll see it tomorrow up close and see where I mean. I just need to get some engine bay cleaning products and spend a weekend on it soon really.

And  I like the back one too, subtly gives away that it's mapped.

Thanks for the compliment Tom, back at you! I'm extremely jealous of your fast track approach to Stage 2, I wish I had done the same now with the problems I have on Stage 1 with Stage 2 mods (call it Stage 2+ with B5 TIP?). I've really tried to hate the thing the last couple of weeks but as soon as I get inside it and get that exhaust note going I just smile :D.

Still, on with the work, lots of maintenance things to be doing this weekend and a full detail I think too. Then next week or by the end of the month I'll buy the FMIC and stage 2 it finally. Pencil in the beginning of May for an AMD mini-meet if you wish :).
