Guys I wonder if any of you can help. My LCR is stage one with an awesome 88 TIP and I can only manage 197 G/S. at the mo I am running a smoove airbox with panel filter and 3inch air feed. I also have Jetex but cant seem to pull any more with it on. I Have taken the Jetex off at the mo untill I get a Jabba shield.

Is this reading right or am i running low? It seems low to me

The maf was replaced 2 months ago with a genuine part and the car really seems to pull hard, even more so since ive fitted a front mount.

Im wondering if my TIP is causing problems and I need to invest in a Badger5 one?

Anyone got any thoughts?

thats reads about 246 bhp. a badger 5 tip will give more gs over any other tip. im sure your autobahn88 tip will get more gs over stock.

Just seems a little low to me and I would have thought there would hve been a slight difference changing between the Jetex and airbox. I think it's time to bust my wallet out and get a 3inch tip lol

Sam, wouldn't make any difference if there was a boost leak. It all comes throught he maf anyway.

Have you cleaned your panel filter recently?

Def no boost leaks. Actual and spec are spot on. And I have had so many boost leaks lately I have replaced near enough every boost hose and vac hose on the car, It is running the best now it ever has, just this wonder if the G/S is right.

Car is running 22psi and holds about 19 Bill.

your not running silly high boost. maybe some more boost to be added. seems like a very safe map you are running providing theres nothing wrong with the car.

In that case I'm happy. Thanks chaps.

I'm slowly getting everything ready for stage 2 so Bill il be in contact soon for a 3inch tip :)

Stage 1 withe Neuspeed cone & Forge TIP made 207g/s for me, 226g/s after 3" TIP on same map. Something to think about :).

That's impressive! Can anyone convert that to rough bhp?

I'm still running a standard TIP on stage 1 but if it makes that much difference I may have to reconsider!

jay i dont think you will see more gs (maybe a few) but what you will get is that air being turned into more power. 226gs seems to be the max flow that the turbos can make. but its down to your other mods ect to turn this 226gs of flow into as much power as possible.

example
226gs of flow = 282.5bhp
remember airflow is measured before the air hits the turbo. now this is why FMIC are so important, this air flow needs to be kept cool as possible if its to reach 282.5. heat soak will have a big effect on overall power.
different effects.
on the road and logging i can hit 226+ gs. when i went to bills on the rollers i made 284bhp but we only logged 223gs. this shows the quality of air the car is getting (cold) by the way you will never have as high gs on the rollers.
so in effect the gs figures shows the amount of potential your car will have of making these figures.
anyway im probably talking bullsh*t haha
