What do i need to do if i want to replace the roof arial and the coaxial cable from arial to car? My current radio lead is too short to crimp a new connector on it so i think i need an entire new lead,

All I can say is that when I replaced the base of my roof aerial I had to drop the headlining at the rear. This involved removing all the plastic off the 'B' and 'C' pillars along with the grab handles etc.
I did notice that the aerial cable comes up the 'C' pillar on the drivers side of the car, so I would imagine that it comes along under the carpet on the drivers side somewhere.
I will warn you though, that when dropping the headlining it is really easy to crease the cardboard backing of headlining, so be careful.
Having said that, I seem to remember that there a connector in the coax under the headlining at the back by the tailgate, so you won't have to get to far under it. I guess that you can just replace the cable from this connector down to the radio.
I think what i will do instead is install a window arial at the front and connect that to my stero, and just fit one of those arial stud things you can get from fleabay to save the trouble
