Thing is though that they are all worth the same amount of money now. A V10 M5 will kill an RS4 and it does everything the RS4 does but without 4x4 - and its nicer inside, has more toys, more kudos and cred. An RS6 will kill an RS4 too and it is everything an RS4 is and more and has 2 turbos on much the same engine, and ts cheaper too. An Evo will kill an RS4 and the Evo X is nice inside compared with the older saloons. Then there is the 335i and M3 which can be had for not far off the same amount now - the M3 I refer to is the V8 one of course

. And a quick map on the 335i will see it easily handle an RS4...
The comment about the RS4 being an iconic car to me is a joke as the RS4 is nothing like a true iconic car and in my opinion never will be - not like the old Audi Quattro was/is, or the Escorth RS Cosworth, RS500 Sierra etc which were all legendary and ground breaking with a proper racing pedigree. What has the RS4 ever done?!
On a track, an RS4 is nothing special at all as its heavy and the handling is nowhere near special. Any of the above cars would beat an RS4 in pretty much every way (save for performance of the iconic cars, but they are 20+ years old now - but icons nonetheless and with a bit of ecu magic and a couple of add ons like intakes and exhausts could chase the RS4 even now....)
