i trimmed the interior myself , black suede £100 for 6 meters of the fabric , almost the same as alcatara
003-23.jpg

that looks ace i might have to think about doing something like that. will get the engine all tuned nicely first then will start to think about the interior.

Im wrapping my roof linen black suade and the pillars are getting smoothed and painted so they are shiney like my bump strips :)

sounds good claire. u doing the pillars black the or they going graphite grey?

with doing all this to my engine i think will need to think about brake upgrades. anyone know where there are any cupra r brembos for sale?

yeah i should be able to for you. just a quick update not fitting the turbo and downpipe until atleast thursday. been a slight delay in getting use of my mates 4 poster. Also i have decided i am buying a 200 cell sports cat to weld in where the decat is as i really dont want to be fitting the standard downpipe come MOT time in Feb.

I Hate Weather

Ok due to weather issues and now being unable to use my mates ramp i haven't been able to start on the turbo upgrade and fitting the downpipe. however here are some pics of everything ready for fitting.

I recieved my 200 cell sports cat and have welded it in on the pipe. so I now have a 3" downpipe with sports cat for a total price of £150. god i love fleebay.

Im thinking of doing the same and just taking the parts into work or college to weld, comes in a fair whack cheaper than alternative options

Ok day one of removal and install of tyurbo and downpipe. one word GGgggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Ok well turbo is finally off the coolant pipe to the block was the hardest thing it took forever with a 8mm hex bit and a 10mm spanner. manifold is off. however the downpipe and cat is stuck between the subframe and the chassis and wont come through the hole :(.

BTW this is all being done with the car sitting on two axle stands.

tomorrows job is get the downpipe off. ad install everything.

I have noticed however that the wastegate actuator on my K03 turbo has two pipes going on to it yet my K03s turbo only has one pipe which can go on the actuator can any one explain this please?

I can see my car staying off the road all week as i'm currently doing this work about 60 miles away from where i live and work during the week so i think i may be catching a train tomorrow night unless my luck changes.

Just ditch the vac lines from the ko3
And run one from the inlet mani to th dv and one from the n75 to the actuator
And one vac line to the fpr job done and leave the n112 and the n249 plugged in

I have done this Cheers :).

ok well car is running again however i have a horrible vibration due to the down pipe rubbing on the chassis :( will need to modify it slightly and unfortunatly the oil seals are on there way out on the new turbo :( so its all coming off again and i will have the turbo reconditioned and will sort thye down pipe. I might just get Wallace to do this lol i don't fancy lying under a car on axle stands for a little while haha. what an arse of a job it is.

thats the only problem with these downpipes, iv put mine on had the same problem so took it off and heat wrapped it and it made it a tad better still vibrates a little lol :D

yeah mine will come back off get a little heat and a good thump with a hammer i think, Or i will cut it a little and dent it in and weld it back up.

What power should i be looking at with a stage 2 revo with K03s, forge FMIC, Forge TIP and 007 DV, Powertec induction kit, 3" downpipe and 200 cell sports cat and supersprint exhaust will i be any where near 240BHP or is that a little optamistic?

umm no it needs a little modification at the side which faces up at the chassis. just a good dunt with a hammer to knock it in a wee bit and it will be fine. although the whole thing was about 6 inches to long.

I know i had a sports cat welded in on the decat but it was the same legnth as before it was put in so the actual length must be slightly to long.

I cut and welded a section on my center section to make the whole thing fit.

tbh its still a good buy as i have saved almost £200 my doing it this way instead of buying a miltec downpipe.

Thats good enough :) and what i'm looking for. yeah the down pipes are good especially for the money as i said saved like £200 compared to a downpipe and sports cat. my K03s is coming off again and getting refurbed as i think the oil seals are gone :(

looks sweet man :)

Cheers bud, few bits still to come like the splitter to be fitted and the wheels refurbed aswell probs graphite grey and i'm always on the look out for other wheels quite fancy some deep dish. The car also needs detailing.
