ok car is booked in to have my rear arches cleaned up next thursday and friday so when i get it back the car should be spotless :).

also car is booked in at wallace for the 3rd of October. I'm having them take the turbo and everything off as the turbo is getting sent away to be fully refurbed with uprted bearings and seals as the oil seals are gone and there was quite abit of play in the shaft.

The car will be in for a week it will get the downpipe and sports cat sorted so no more rattles or vibrations new top mounts fitted on the coilies as the current top mounts are knackered. full service including coolant timing belt and water pump (i'm biting the bullet and having it all done at once) and once everything is back together a nice stage 2 map (possibly with the sps software depends on the pennies) and a rolling road.

then it will be 2 new front tires and the tracking set up properly as the inside edges on my current tyres are balding.

Looks like you're needing a new lambda sensor for after the cat then. (Or after the straight pipe if the cat's removed:D)

Quick update!!

cars rear arches have been cleaned up the boy did an amazing job he even sprayed the front drivers arch where there was a blister in the paint.

The rear arches have been rolled :D no more scrubbing.

Pics will be posted when i get the car bck from wallace in about a week. I will give it a good polish and wax.

The car is now at wallace where the turbo is going to get sent away and refurbed and then I will get it back with a stage 2 map with the revo sps+ software.

Very annoyed!! the K03s i bought on ebay is beyond economical repair according to the turbo specialists. its got a crack in the waste gate, the turbine wheel has been fouling in the housing etc.. so its a brand new turbo for me which is good but will hurt my pocket :(. Hopefully get the car back tomorrow night.

Starting Problem :(

ok things just go from bad to worse :(. got the car back yesterday. its running standard map just now in safe mode as wallace were unable to map it on the dyno as aparently my front passenger wheel bearing was shagged my exhaust is leaking at the join between the centre box and back box.
I went and picked the car up yesterday, I got them to show me why they thought my wheel bearing was knackered. they jacked it up and shook my wheel. There was about an inch of play back and forth in towards the engine. I thought this to be to much play for a wheel bearing. I Bought a new one anyway changed it all over and then discoved the fault was the Drive shaft nut wasn't tight. so i wasn't a happy bunny.

Now the most annoying part got my tracking all set up today no problem tracking now perfect. Problem is when we went to start the car to take of the ramp it won't start. battery is fine you can here the fuel pump and oil pump. but no starter noise what so ever. Does anyone have any idea what ould cause this??

The car starts all ok when bumped.

Help is much appreciated

yeah only since the TT was fitted however when i originally got it back it was all fine. i've taking the starter motor off and tried testing it and i cant seem to get the solinoid relay to click. can someone please tell me if it is a positive or negative signal which is snt through the Plug which goes onto the starter.

i know you've got the 12v positive direct of the battery and then the earth of the battery so its just the plug which i believe comes from the ignition switch which i dont know what signal it should produce.

any one know what resistance or amps or volts should show on the plug when the key is fully turned to start?

Not sure but that sounds the same as mine as if I hit the starter motor it starts so must be solinoid sticking

I'm a happy boy today i have got the car back. It is the ignition switch which is knackered so i have wired in a spring loaded switch straight to the starter as a temp fix.

Got the car back with my stage to map and new straight through centre section.

I'm pushing 185BHP at the wheels on the more aggressive map but this is still conservative as my timing is nly set at 3 due to my injectors maxing out at 5000 rpm :(.

So the plans are to get new injectors Most probs S3 unless i can find different ones.

Would S4 fit as my mate has a spare set?

And also a larger MAF sensor LCR one or s3.

Then wallace state they would be safely able to push about 200 wheel BHP out of it.

Pics will be up later.

your fuel pump most like is failing mate , no point fitting s3 injectors unless you going k03 hybrid or k04 set up , beeza cupra are prone to failing anyway , get lcr fuel pump
