Dog bone mount

Hello, looking at replacing my dog bone mount bush as it makes knocking noise when I switch engine off so must be on it's way out! anyone know best type to fit. OEM or uprated? Also where can I get one and is it worth buying whole mount or just bush and is it easy to do?

Get yourself a Superpro one from Awesome or whoever has them at best price. It's just a bush, I uprated mine in my FR and it pretty much eliminated engine rock without transmitting too much vibration to the cabin. was around £40 when I got mine...easy enough to fit.

See my post in your other thread. My steering wheel seems to turn into an ann summers model in overdrive! I was prepared for it though but rhought it would ease off and actually stop my steering wheel looking "fuzzy" that it vibrates so much and keys jangle. I sit with my knees holding it to stop it

There's a Skoda dealer selling them on Ebay Genuine, NEW. I got one for my Cupra TDI ages ago.

Not sure to be honest. I will try have a look for you this evening, I know that one will go onto the TDI's

I've had a look and I'm not sure as all the Part Nos are different + its a Skoda number. You may be able to do a visual check. I know it'll go onto the PD130's and PD160's, but to be honest, never actually got near a petrol Ibiza.

Very easy to replace the dogbone mount.

For those who want an uprated dogbone bush but dont want the harshness and vibrations you should look into fitting the R32 dogbone, or the uprated rubber mount from THS.

Here is my full engine mount kit including dog bone from THS, it is still rubber but 30% stiffer than standard OEM rubber mounts. Due to the stiffer rubber and redesugned shape, the THS kit is said to limit engine movement by 50% ..... without the harshness of polybushes.

It's easy, one bold holding it to the sub frame and 2 bolts to the bottom of the engine.

Ths don't do one, or they didn't when I asked as I wanted a full set

Shame your so far away as I've got a spare mount kicking about in the garage

Just unbolt it. It's supported by the other 2 mounts.

Visit a Seat main dealer...or if you can't find one or don't live near to one then maybe get a mount off of ebay...or even the ubiquitous 'Dave at Sere' motors (Seat dealers) via the post from Northern Ireland. I was quoted £30 for one by my local dealer, who gets OE parts in for the next day for me.

PS Forgot to say, I'm not sure what model of Ibiza you have but the ebay link shows the OE FR/Cupra Tdi dogbone mount...I'm not sure what'd fit your car you see. That's where the main dealers can check for you.
