On there rollers my CC JBS map made....... 188.2 bhp and 414nm of torque. They then put a standard map on my car with my miltek exhaust and panel filter which made 167 bhp and 374nm.
They rolling roaded my car over a dozen times trying to get the map as aggresive as possible without the stuttering hwich it was doing a lot of on the rollers!
In the end the car managed to make on one of the last runs 217bhp and just under 500 nm of torque which equates to 370 lbs ft of torque. Mikko and Ben both said if the car was cooler and hadn't been run on the rollers so many times they believe it could of made over a proper 225.

That JBS map was the WILD map and only made 188 bhp on there rollers....
As i said there rollers musta been spot on if not under reading as the car with a standard map dpf delete full miltek and panel filter made 167. The leon FR;s standard torque is 350nm and it made 374 so the torque may have been increased with these mods. Mikko told me he reckons if you put it on other Dynos Dyno Dynamics, Dastek etc you will see some big readings. The car itself is rapid! I can't stop driving it!:D

So when you look at it like that when JBS stated my car and dynoed it at 240.6bhp and it made 188 bhp. And then after making 216 with it heat soaking to hell that is a big jump and going from 414nm to just under 500 on my best run is a lot as well!

Max Bhp is made all the way up to 4666 rpm.....

So what we are confirming here is that the miltek adds about 3-5 bhp over the bored out method? I was thinking about it but now im not sure its worth the money.
 
You sure? I thought the lower the pressure the more resistance hence lower figures?

And every other website I have read about this too seem to say increase your tyre pressures if you want slightly higher figures.

max bhp is messured by the coast down after the intial dyno run

it messures how much resistance you hav and how fast the car slows the drums to messure how much transmission loss u hav then it calculates it with a %

the more drag on the roll down = more power

i hav tested this 40psi and then at 20 psi and gain 10 max bhp with lower tyre pressure if u still think im wrong then go lern about how dyno's work be4 you comment :bleh:

I have a question for BIGG

What is the traction like in your car running that sort of power. I assume 2nd gear is a no no and tyre shreads.
What is 3rd and 4th like when on full chatter.?

2nd is pretty tough but it doesn't all come in one lump like the JBS map. It's honestly like a petrol turbo with the tdi low down grunt. YOu get a big kick in 2nd and that is you pulling hard upt0 a proper 5000 rpm and 3rd and 4th are the same. To me i can describe it like driving a mazda 3 mps with more torque lol. That's the way it feels to me :) 3rd and 4th are over in no time as well. In fact all the gear 5th and 6th included pull all the way to the red line without any fuss or the usual tdi drop off. It doesn't feel like a diesel up top lol
 
I got pulled on my way back from England but it was only to ask if there was something wrong with my car lol. And an advisory on an MOT which i have just had. Since then i haven't driven the car as i only use it at weekends lol. But saying that might go for a wee drive tonight :p My bro reckons i will get pulled constantly lol. I'll try and get a video up as it is insane. You can't see cars behind you and they can't see you either lol

The car was done down in Mansfield at S H A R K performance headquarters. But it is a genuine custom map, done by a very well know European tuner who is also an associate with ***** caller Mikko. Basically i wanted the very most possible out of the PD170 turbo. And after 506 hours and close to 20 rolling road runs he did lol with a lot of time, effort and changing :)
 
Ah. Can't see mine being 190 when comparing to likes of CLS 230 CDi.

But its not all about peak figures the JBS map had descent torque and carried the power as well. My car on dyno dynamics rollers made 211 bhp. On JBS rollers 240.6 bhp. I used to be able to beat 320cdi mercs etc.

YOu would be surprised what the true power is on a well set up dyno. That is the WILD JBS map with full 3" miltek exhaust with KnN panel filter 188 bhp 414 nm of torque.....
 
Sorry I meant 320 CDis. They're 220bhp.

All I can do is compare to previous cars and cars I've met on the roads.

The car was on the dyno all day but all the smoke was taken away by the dyno exhaust that takes away all fumes.

To be fair the pics really don't do the amount of smoke justice lol

Yeh that's what i did and it is fast! It has a very aggresive throttle response and there is no way you would think its under 200 bhp. Seriously Andy get on a well set up dyno and unfortunatly i think you will be surprised if not a little dissapointed at there claimed figures vs there actual
 
I agree about the throttle response. I've had plays with mk5 GTis and been quicker.

Tbh I'm not fussed about the figures. I had DPF problems so it saved a grand. It's quicker than standard PD170s at least!
