This is the one i got last year. Comes with most of the software but i just use the 10.6.0 version and works fine on XP. Keep wifi switched off when using too. Works great for diagnostic but not sure about coding because dont know how to use it with that lol.

Thats all the instructions needed as how i use it and for £20 guys doubt you can go wrong

I'm wandering if it just does the "lite" stuff ie only the drop down boxes to select from and not being able to look at the long coding that most people would want ie alarm chirp, staging, speed readout etc

I've used the one off dhgate for many things. Alarm chirp. Seatbelt bleeper. Large mph readout. Cornering fogs off. I havnt been able not to do one thing with it. Best £20 I've spent lol

Has anyone got one of these and tried coding?

I bought one from dhgate and I coded needle sweep on my dads FR and alarm chirps and seatbelt warning then accidentally left it connected to my laptop and went on the internet which blocked that lead and wouldn't work anymore.
Anyway I ordered another from dhgate and I couldn't get it to work on my laptop I think its bacause my computer updated the driver and my new cable kept wanting me to go on the internet which you can't or it ruins them.
I have now bought a genuine cable so have a lead thats blocked and anew one unblocked that won't work on my computer.
If it worked on your computer you could have it for £10 plus postage?

That looks the same as the one I have. I've done the alarm chirp, turned seatbelt warning off and made all doors unlock with one press.

I dont mind paying the £50 if I knew it was going to work. As I have various family members with VAG cars that would also like things changing. But it would be nice to have someome show me how it all works. (After all I am a newbie).
