Fault Codes , 16684 and 16685 mean??

Cylinder 1 was misfiring according to my liquid gauge

Cylinder 4's timing was out according to my liquid gauge siad 4.5secs??

Cylinder 1 coil pack is the problem? , is Cylinder 1 on the drivers side?

also ... engine is shaking like mad / exhaust

Think cylinder 1 is the one we changed for you at Wallace mate, were you still running the one I gave you? Pretty sure 1 is the driver's side one, yeah.

Swap it with the one next to it then see if the problem moves there. I'd get yourself a set of the ones from Awesome GTI, they're a much newer revision than the OEM items, no problems with mine, so far anyway.

yup that was it all sorted now got a borrow from james , im getting 2 ones from seat today 1 is going in and 1 as a spare then ill look at getting either the red ones from awesome or the 2.0tsi ones

Ah well, glad I changed mine now, looks like at least one of them was about ready to die! Not sure the 2.0TFSI ones are any better than current 1.8T ones to be honest, you don't get a performance boost out of them really. I know a few folk have got the adaptors and the TFSI coils but I couldn't see how the extra outlay was worth it.

yeh good point , if it was a straight fit i may go for them ,.......... anyway ordered new spark plugs from opie oils and the red coilpacks from awesome
