yeah thats the reason behind me getting some oem ones as these lights are a bit like marmite. i absolutly hated them in chrome and almost walked away from buying the car in the first place because of them. only reason i like them now is cos they look good in black and i want to put matt black wheels and do the front lights black aswell and then im gonna wrap or spray the roof, spoiler and mirrors black too. but i think ill tint my oem ones black as seeing a few members on here with it done they look nice.

also i got a mint set of oem lights for £25 delivered and they are faultless. foam backing and bulb holders complete with most bulbs lol.

them black lights look well nice where you get them from mate?

some dirty old lights from ebay, hours of sanding and polishing, and £5 e-tech tint spray.

So some nice black lights for a grand total of about £25 (including the sandpaper)

i dont actually know, i just went crazy on it cos i wanted the top part to be black as possible as there is no light behind it and it was outside and there were insects landing on them and i was getting quite pissed after all the hard work i put in sanding them, as well as getting nagged by the missus to go out shopping.
the bumps and imperfections were sanded out and polished again so they look alright now, they could be better if i clear glossed over them but i cba.

and if you do do them too dark nail varnish remover is your friend.

i left the silver bit because im sure there is some legal requirement about having a reflector, or reflective bit on the back of your car and as i tinted over the reflector i left the silver bit to reflect light.

these look cool but the guy selling them on ebay is an idiot and you can see the line where the silver bits are, i sanded mine all smooth.

yeah i see those on ebay and after a good look they didnt seem so good. i want to keep the clear part white but do the red black so ill just go crazy. as the stuff is removable its no problem if i go too much.

there is some e-tech tint remover spray but the nail varnish remover worked for me,

Beware apparently some varnish removers can melt plastic so i'd ask someone more qualified in the world of nail varnish to make sure its safe.

i bet it does but at the price of petrol id rather keep it in the car lol. but yeah petrol is a good cleaning product. i have used it a few times to remove sticky marks here and their.

or tardis tar and glue remover, which you can spray all over a cars paintwork so it wont damage the lights

Did the N249 bypass, took all the badges of the boot only to find that the letters are indented into the paint... almost as if the letters were covered up and the boot sprayed over in lacquer. Had a closer look at the car and at some point it has been sprayed, but only the top half, and not very well.
