Gutted i couldn't make it (I'm ill for those that don't know) looking forward to the pic's and vid that i know Barn will have taken.

Currently sorting through the 536 photos and 3 videos on this camera. We had a second video cam and an in car cam too so theres plenty to see!

It's a shame you did come Phill it'd of been good to have meet you. Hope you feel well soon. I think between Barn and his Dad there should be of few photos! I forgot to take any my self. I don't often get to talk cars so enjoyed talking to Tim, Barny and RDS. going out as a passenger has convinced me I need to have a go.

Awesome meeting you mate, youll have to come to the next :funk:

Cheers guys
I think Barn has about 9 million to upload, unfortunately the go pro camera died just before fitting to my car so no in car videos
Was good to meet Rich again and Paul and attempt to scare you belting round the track
Took advantage of the free ARDS instruction and it helped on fast chicane upto the pits, almost too much as i struggled to loose the speed.
On a funnier note i melt the powdercoating on the back of my wheels, turned my discs blue and brembos brownish with yellow writing. oops
Awesome fun and will be going again so i'll probably organise another event next year
New record today too 130C oil temps

I must admit it was the first time I've been out on track full stop and I was I little concerned! But after a couple of laps I realised you could drive and relaxed. I'd liked to of stayed longer but had family commitments. If you're coming back this way book me in. I can't belive how much further you can push you car on track. That chap cocking his wheel in the MKII Golf must have been having fun to!

I did notice you went a bit quiet when we started out
Its all a learning process and a lot of fun too, yours should be awesome with a diff in it
I'll look at organising another meet about april time

April sounds good. I'd hope to have coilovers at least by then. Love the colour of your wheels to it's got me thinking.

Can be dangerous seeing other peoples cars and mods, many ideas can be taken from it
Personally if you've got knocks and bangs on yours i'd start by replacing the bushes first (and fit that FARB you have) and it should tighten it up lots

Yeah you're wright. Bushes and ARB first. It was good to talk to you all. We all said the same things to each other. Should I spend money on this, or should I spend money on that. If we had the kind of money to do what we wanted to our cars we'd be driving different cars. I guess that's why our car keep us going.
If you arrange a track day again I won't bottle out next time.

Looking good mate. Gat to hear you enjoyed yourself on track. So what's next mods for the car then? As soon as I left Brands Hatch I started making a mental note of mods to do and I'm sure your the same ;)

Cheers mate, car felt very strong and handled very well so its more reliabilty scoped mods now
Need to finish piping my intercooler up, definitely need to fit an oil cooler as 130C oil will make it less viscous and less efficient at lubricating
Still thinking about cages though

It was good meeting up yesterday, although I'm gutted I wasn't out on track. I will be next time :D

Thanks again for the battery box.

Yes the sump tends to be colder, and wont give an acurate reading of the engines oil temp, idealy the sensor wants to be in the block but on top of the oil filter housing is as close as you can get.

Glad you had a good time mate :)

Now my car is polybushed I can see what you mean about doing them. Must have IMO. Especially for track use!

Ronin

Where is your oil temp measured from?

TIA
As Phill said in the auxillary port on the filter housing
This gives the temp after it gone through the pickup, pump and filter so gives an idea of the temp going into the engine

I have said how much more planted it feels, but you need to experience it to be converted
Maybe have to meet for a track day with you 'southerners' next year too
