After thinking about it for months I finally removed the rubber extension for the oil filler

I'm wanting to buy a inlet manifold and rocker to get powder coated. Am I correct in thinking any 20v rocker cover will fit?

Thanks for the reply. I'd guess that'll be the bolt down and push down then. What type do I need (I'd guess push down?) and what type are AGU heads as I've seen one cheap?

What code(s) did you have that were lighting it up in the first place? I was getting camshaft adjuster fault codes a while ago which were oil pressure related, they went away and the light went off, all by themselves after a while.

The code is 16804 which I think is efficancy of first bank below threshold, relating to the cat.

Got a decat? That's the ecu wanting a certain exhaust gas flow and not getting it because the flow is exceeding a threshold through having the decat.

The light does go eventually but the code and fault will still remain. Either ask your mapper to map it out, or fit a 42 draft designs sensor spacer http://www.awesomegti.com/car/seat/leon1m/42-draft-designs-o2-sensor-spacer

I had exactly the same code on and off ever since having my decat fitted to replace a sports cat. I recently got the 42 draft sensor spacer fitted and the code hasn't returned. Works a dream and cars runs better for it

No I've still got the standard DP and cat. The light first came on the day after I picked the car up from having the diff and clutch fitted. I wondered if a wire to the Lambda was damage while it was being worked on? Or the cat died when I over filled the engine with oil

Bignod I made sure there was a big enough distance between us before I said it! I did go down that Sunday but chickened on taking my car out. I did get a couple of passenger rides in Ronins car which I throughly enjoyed. As I've said before I'll have to grow a pair and give it a go!

Ahh in that case the 1st lambda may have died mate!

The description is "efficiency below threshold" which literally means the 2nd lambda is seeing excess emissions after the cat - although it is more likely that the sensor is shot. If the 1st lambda was faulty the car would likely not be running right as it's the 1st (pre-cat) lambda that influences fuelling, the second one is just there to keep an eye on the cat.

Does the second lambda influence furling at all? Only reason is the mpg went down by around 5 mpg after the light came on. The exhaust gases also smell rich on start up.
