Maybe it finally gave up and thought you didn't care!On my way to work this morning I noticed the EML was not on? After a year of it been on is there a reason why it could of switched it's self off?
What code(s) did you have that were lighting it up in the first place? I was getting camshaft adjuster fault codes a while ago which were oil pressure related, they went away and the light went off, all by themselves after a while.

I'd love to but it's my sons 2nd birthday part. I just drop the suggestion of popping to Blyton in conversation but it didn't go down to well!![]()
Hope you have a good time and if you're going again give me a shout.
The code is 16804 which I think is efficancy of first bank below threshold, relating to the cat.
Am sure I had that code when my 2nd lambda was faulty. The description is "efficiency below threshold" which literally means the 2nd lambda is seeing excess emissions after the cat - although it is more likely that the sensor is shot. If the 1st lambda was faulty the car would likely not be running right as it's the 1st (pre-cat) lambda that influences fuelling, the second one is just there to keep an eye on the cat.

I'd check the wiring to the 2nd (post-cat) sensor, if that's all fine then change the sensor. This shouldn't affect the car's running, just means that you get codes and EMLs and the ECU doesn't know if the cat is operating right.
Haha, sensible man!Bignod I made sure there was a big enough distance between us before I said it! I did go down that Sunday but chickened on taking my car out. I did get a couple of passenger rides in Ronins car which I throughly enjoyed. As I've said before I'll have to grow a pair and give it a go!
