Hi I have recently took my Ibiza cupra of the road and broke it. and I'm lookin at buying a more sensible car diesel just wondering is there anything I need to watch out for there hard to find with low milage as well would one with the 100k on the clock be ok ? I no there good runners and reliable but don't really want one with stupid milage on it for when I sell in future. Any help will be appreciated :)

I sold my 04 plate cupra pd150 in 2009 with 157k on it.
It was custom mapped to 225hp with 390lbft by Jabba. Selling it was the biggest mistake I ever made, it just kept getting better and better.
I had it off the clock top end, it ate S3's (256hp) for breakfast and returned over 50mpg on the motorway........
You dont need to worry about 100k on the provision that its had the correct oil used when serviced.

I don't know why ppl are so obsessed with low mileage
Unless you do 20k+ a year your not going to have a problem with a looked after 1 with 150k+ on it,in fact i have always gone for a high mileage motorway miles than low mileage town mile, these cars are built for the motorway & if you do low mileage there is no point having 1,
It is a buyers market & they have come right down in price, you can get 1 for 2.5-3.5k now, just make sure you go for 1 that has been well serviced & well looked after

What's wrong with an 04 plate Cupra TDI? Same engine/suspension/interior and everything else as far as I know, just depends what options were chosen for that particular car. Got mine last year with 60k on it and FSH, was one of around 5 or so within an hour drive of me.

Worth a look as they are the same car underneath, and one thing I noticed was that insurance on the Cupra TDI was about 10% cheaper than on the equivalent FR

Oh yeah mate I miss it like mad just had enough of it. The power was awsome just want a cheaper car to run now ill have a look at the cupra then just don't want a crap spec one

I wouldn't say the cupra is crap spec, Climate Control, 6 CD Changer, EW, SEAT BELTS!!! But seriously the spec you get all depends on what the original owner chose from the factory so most of it will be the same.

Suppose so yeah I'm just a fussy t**t lol I like me cars to be rear spec ones that's why I'm finding it hard to find one and when I do there sold. I want the diesel with the cupra r kit on tbh I fount a few gonna have a look at weekend at a few

Yes fr+ was fake cupra r look

Personally i prefer the fr with the cupra bumpers. Looks better than the diesel lcr look. Entirely imo

Soooo many to choose from lol.
Me plan is to lower it about 50-60 mm with bbs motor sport wheels on in satin black I think will look well smart in the grey

Similar to this one...?

Some cupras come with adjustable leather aswel if thats your thing . Mine had it , i loved the car tbh . My mate now owns it and its still a real head turner , thats got 160 on the clock now and still pulls like a goodun. Go for the platinum grey like the one in the photo above , i personally think its the best colour :)
