Is it worth buying a dog bone mount for my fl leon cupra ?
What are the main benefits and is it easy to fit.

Cheers

I fitted and ECS insert in mine and noticed less wheel hop and less jerking when on and off clutch in slow moving traffic. Didn't notice much more vibration in cabin. For what it cost and how long it takes to fit I'd say worth it.

If you do the full mount its a bigger job and more vibration I think.

I would say a good mod for the price. I have powerflex and i only notice a bit of vibration when pulling away and reversing. Other than that a decent improvement with much less engine movement and wheel hop slightly improved.

I had the powerflex insert (yellow one), and it was in a week and a half (around 300 miles). And it was hell....

I hate any sort of vibration on cars and this in my opinion was too much for me. The cabin was noisy, pulling away felt as though the engine was just fixed to the chassis and reverse... well it felt as though the engine was hopping out.

If you like comfy quiet rides then dont do it other wise the insert was fine for the money, it did improve the gear shifts and pulling away, didnt notice the wheel hop so cannot comment.

I have put the powerex insert in ( the yellow one ) and there is minimal vibration , if you were a normal passenger you won't even notice it.
What it has done is improve gear changes , in traffic say second gear when you were creeping and came off the gas the gear stick would move a couple of inches , now it stays where it is no movement at all.
If you have loads of vibration after fitting this mod you either have not tightened it properly and seated it properly or there is another issue with your car.

I can assure you it was seated properly and tightened to the correct torque (70 odd ft/lb). It may feel like little vibration to you but other people can tolerate different levels.

Just got my powerflex red dogbone along with the small mount installed. I will be removing the small mount ASAP there is just too much intrusion with the vibration into the cabin.
Apologies - I haven't got used to checking what forum the search function results are in. I'm talking about a mk1 red dogbone mount

I have had the insert in for a few months now and hate it too. Horrible vibration and not much improvement anywhere else. I have been waiting to remove it for a while now, I just haven't had the time so I will wait until it is next in the garage to take it off. If you want less wheel hop then I recommend the WALk kit.. now there is something that really does make a difference.

I loved my insert when I had it. £15 and it tightened up the shifting and reduced wheel hop. The only increase in vibration I had was in reverse. Great mod for the money.

I had my dogbone fitted when I got my Milly and already had WALK on the car. Does help a bit with wheel hop and with being 2+ it is essential to stop any damage from the increased engine torque. Don't notice any vibration through the judder on the SMF :D

Ive just got one of these " its red " and apprently not as tough as the yellow / blue one . I still havent installed it so i carnt really comment yet . Hope i dnt get the vibrations some talk about otherwise it will be straight off

I'm getting the small front mount removed on Tuesday and keeping the red mount in place. Hopefully it will reduce the vibration to an acceptable level

Just fitted some BSH mounts, Gearbox, Lower mount plus Engine Mount.
Vibrates like crazy. will it go away ? I am thinking on changing the Engine mount back to the stock mount and keep the gearbox and torque mounts BSH, what do you guys think ?
