PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT buy left hand drive headlights for use in the UK.

Your beam pattern is completely wrong and is dangerous to other road users coming in the opposite direction as the 'kick' up in the beam pattern points directly into the eyes of other road users.

Your car will fail an MOT.

You can convert LHD to RHD by opening the lamp and turning round the small beam deflector that is inside the projector housing.

However taking the lamps apart is sometimes easier said than done.

Probably for the sake of saving maybe £40 by ordering LHD from ebay.de it's not worth it considering you may wreck the whole unit when you try switch the deflectors round.

I'm quite keen on the dectane ones now, but alias to much higher up on the to-do list :(

The main problem with opening them is that the silicone/glue/horrible shitty stuff sets quite hard and needs to be 'baked' until it softens (See Fiesta Mk5 de-tango guides), which means putting them in to an oven ideally and of course then no warranty !!

Right hand drive - Currently ONLY Pre-facelift 2005-2009 - available in both black and chrome versions

Left hand drive - 2005-2009 - available in black and chrome
left hand drive - 2009 on facelift - available in black and chrome

left hand drive with full R87 dimming DRL strip - prefacelift 2005-2009 - black and chrome
left hand drive with full R87 dimming DRL strip - 2009 on facelift - black and chrome

There might be right hand drive facelift soon to the UK, just waiting on the factory to confirm

Hope this helps !!!

A LHD to RHD headlight conversion is just a matter of opening the unit up and swapping something round right? Or is it alot more involved?

BTW that was from a quick google search lol

i think its just changing the brackets in the lens so its not angled towards the oncoming drivers. ive had mine for about a year now hasnt given any problems. and when i think it looks a lil boring i can switch the LEDS off and have just the projectors and what not (vagcom

By the way, guys, Dectane doesn't sell RHD headlights, neither for the pre-facelift nor the facelift Leons. I know AutoArt sells RHD headlights for the pre-facelift, though.

+1 on this.

I originally was going to buy from Dectane and contacted them directly.
They told me they do not make any seat leon headlights for use in the UK.

This is why I ended up with Autoart lighting ones.
I guess they do the job, however i am planning to retrofit soon xD
