Does the handbrake need to be on/off when fitting the springs or doesnt it matter

Mine was on when I did it but I dont think it matters tbf

I found it easier to fit with the handbrake off, as you don't have to squeeze the clip as tightly whilst rolling about.

Tried that but it was hard to fit the springs whilst chasing the car down the road -

looks close enough, but move the bottom part of the spring into the bottom lug, thats where mine sits

Any vag garage, vw, seat, audi, skoda. Just call any of them, speak to the parts desk and tell them the part number you will find on the previous page

Got mine fitted today, friendly VW mechanic at work, and feels like I actually have a handbrake now.... Happy days!! Got to be best mod per cost by far.

Got them yesterday and fitted, made a slight improvement. need to take a bit of slack from the handbrake though.

I ordered them from VW,
The part number was for commercial I ws told and couldn't be ordered to my local VW.
So the part number was V7M3 615 295A and V7M3 615 296 I think.
I'll check tomorrow when I pick them up

Also, who else from Harlow got some?
The bloke in parts said someone was in last week getting them for his Seat! haha

I think that to get the best out of this mod, you really need to clean the rear brakes up, re-zero the pistons, fit the springs, and then force the brakes to readjust themselves. If necessary slaken off the cables to let the brakes adjust correctly and readjust the cable after a day or two.

Fitting these springs to clogged up and probably partially siezed brakes is not the way to do this mod.
