Ok finally sorted this basically the T piece was put back on the wrong way round from where the d/v is connected, dont exactly know why it was making that noise but hey, thanks for your help people

Ok this may be weird but just drove it again to the petrol station & the noise started again.. The fuel is below a quartre so maybe this noise is coming from the fuel side of things? Gonna put some redex in it and see if it makes a difference with a full tank

Yeah im very confused atm to haha! I have had a check ran trough the comp and this code comes up 16825 thinks it means vacum leak or mani leak but like i just said when its got lots of fuel its ok haha :-/ the noise chooses when it wants to happen basically and is bery annoying lol, ill post the outcome on what its like with full tank

16825 is to do with the carbon canister. If u have removed this then you will get this code when the car sits an idles.

Yes, I listened to the video. It could be related to faulty solenoids/valves controlling flow to the carbon canister. I have a Haynes manual for the Ibiza 93-99, I'll have a look tomorrow and see if it covers yours or gives an idea to were it may be.

I've been getting to grips with a brother sewing machine for most of the evening, made in 1960 something. Sew, going to bed now. ;)

I think in honest it a dodgy valve somewhere as its now coming & going... Its does it less and even stops it the more petrol i have in the tank :-S

The manual says you have to remove the right hand front road wheel then the arch liner to get access to the charcoal canister. I know your car is a 99-02 Ibiza but as far as I know they are the same chassis designation as the 93-99 so could be a chance they have kept it in the same place.

You're probably right on a faulty valve or solenoid. Blocked or defective vacuum lines from the fuel tank to the charcoal canister can cause problems.

Hope you get her sorted.

Pardon my  but does SAI stand for "standard air intake. "?

I haven't had a 1.8t for very long. Haven't even had a chance to look properly at valve bypasses or forge blow off valves or what ever may be the case. Fluids, oil, filter has been done and no associated codes are coming up on the vcds -lite but haven't got to grips with the system and that.

But anyway, sorry to blah, blah on the fella's thread.

Ok so im 85% on what this is.. Went on a car meet tonite started booting it the all of a sudden.. The manifold/downpipe (around that area) is majorly blowing, think the mechanic who welded my dowpipe didnt check things properly & lied to me saying its ok..

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I noticed with mine on boost (in second and thrid especially) i get this high pitch noise on full boost and im slightly loosing a bit of boost.
