Finally got around to trying out the new wheels on the car today.

Excuse the ride height as these Bilstein B16's take an age to settle once the cars been jacked up!

I do have centre caps for these but as it was just a trial fitting to ensure brake clearance I didn't bother with them. The paint is very chipped but as they are going to be used purely on track then I'm not fussed.

I'm off to Mr Redbull's house tomorrow to borrow some spacers from him on the off chance that the OEM Cupra Orion Alloys will be able to clear the 370mm brake kit with the spacers fitted.

Whilst the car was up I decided to try them today.

I am totally gobsmacked that they fitted!!!!!

Really didn't expect these to clear the brakes, especially as they're only ET51!

This is great news as now I can use the Orions for Winter wheels, the 1.2's for Track wheels and the OZ for cruising about in the Summer!

Is that the AKS big brake kit? If so how do they compare over the standard cupra brakes? Have you had them on the track yet?

Do they catch the brakes on full lock? I was running standard Ibiza alloys over my AP conversion no issues going straight line or corners but on full lock they caught the caliper lol

Wheels and brakes look awesome tho

Good wheels them. Hope they clear your brakes! I was lucky the VWR brakes needed to wheel adjustment. Might paint mine a lairy colour in case I get a mk2 Leon track car ;-)

Yeah its the AKS kit matey, they are night and day better than the standard setup.
