I didn't, just cleaned all the grease and dirt of using a spray degreaser, then I sanded them down a tinby bit using a bit of fine wet and dry, wied all the excess of, literally took the top layer of. Then just sprayed clear laquer onto them and they look new. Im sure there is a guide on here somewhere! Only took an hour to do both

I read that on DBW you shouldn't need to as it resets the timing after about 30 miles anyway?
Had not one bit of bother since doing that and i've done about 40-50 miles or so now.

Just finished fitting the rear powerflex wishbone bushes i got the other day, took about 3 hours in total wasnt as difficult as I was imagining. Tracking to be done at some point next.

looks like maybe the drivers and passenger front seats are round the wrong way? pretty sure the knob for lifting the seat foward (because they are seats for 3 door) normaly lives on the outside of the seat not the inside.

Just had my brake fluid changed and bled for a massive price of £20,
Work was carried out at the VW dealers my mate runs,
Had him do a pressure check and I have no boost leaks.

Haha ok I have a mate just brought an s3 that would like the 007 if I brake it. should be able to make a decision fairly soon now.

Only really needs a tip and fmic and its good for stage 2. I think paint work etc is in good shape for a 8 year old car. It's on AP coil overs with new front bushes, milltek catback (custom 3" down pipe & de-cat(original cat and dp still in storage), forge 007, Jetex cone, jabba sport remap & print outs of 245 bhp, new turbo last November, spark plugs done last September & 4 new coil packs around same time. New maf & map sensors couple months ago. mot until next July. Tax is only until November & Front tyres close to needing new. 65k miles
