I had this error: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00285

00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Right (G45): Electrical Fault in Circuit

When fitting my new track control arms I probably made the mistake of keeping the cable connected on the ABS sensor when it received some stress from pulling the shock out.

When I checked the cable (loosened the rubber cap on the cable), both wires were pulled out of the plug

Buddy of mine had a replacement, so soldered it together, problem fixed.

Ah I see, was wondering because I ain't to sure if my sensor is faulty or broken!!

I don't get any errors nor does the ABS light stay on but at times when cornering to the right on uneven surfaces my traction control light flickers on & off and I have a rubbing noise coming from the passenger front wheel.

I've checked several times but can't see whats up plus I've had new bushes, droplinks and track rods & ends replaced

Replace the sensor just to be sure, they arent that expensive. They are a bitch to get out of. I ended up smashing it with a flathead screwdriver on both sides (dont go mental) and scraped out the last bit of plastic. Greased up the new one and carefully pushed it in using a piece of wood and tapping on it with a hammer.

Also: isnt that traction control (TCS) what you are referring to....?

Today I fitted a S2000 air filter,

amazing difference over the JR cone filter and heat shield and a fraction of the cost.
The car is smoother and seems to boost earlier.

The JR and Heat shield is getting binned, Only a few months old but shite IMO.

took the wifes megane to get a new key card as the one she had would work intermittently. i asked the guy about coding and a flip key for the leon and he said £40 to cut the blade and code the transponder.

any good??

Feels a tad more responsive. And the exhaust not is sweet. Not too bassy and not too "wannabe-racecar". If i push it i get the slight owl whistle but so far so good. Taking it on the motorway tommorrow tso i will see if tht sounds any different.
