What are they even meant to do? Iv seen a few cars around with them, seems to be a euro look thing

supposed to protect the bonnet from stone chips, you cant leave them on there too long though otherwise they rub and damage the paint underneath. I had one just for the look of it but wrapped the area underneath to stop it screwing the paint :)

Well the paint underneath will have a few hard layers of Collonite so it's more for the look than anything. The car has 104k on the clock and bonnet paint is still in decent condition after I recently 2 stage machine polished it.

Washed it and took pictures of it as I'm also selling up, just got it running better than it ever has but buying a house! 1.4 mk6 fiesta here I come!

Just noticed my drivers side rear footwell is soaking, lifted the carpet and there's a few puddles there, soaked it up will three rolls of plenty! Got to seal my drivers side front and rear carriers and try and dry the carpets and insulation! Want to do it before I sell it as its on eBay atm.

Hopefully fixed my drivers door carrier seal applied butyl strip around the perimeter, don't want it to get swamped with this storm we are supposedly getting soon.

Gave it a wash today and had the MAF fail too  Got to love trying to drive along with it stuttering, popping and banging as it dumps the contents of the tank in at 30mph lol...

Fuel trims were sitting at -28% for the LT by the time I'd driven 6 miles (country roads with little stopping places). Oh and it used 1/8 tank doing that too.

Like my earlier post said, got to love the consumable electronics on these cars - NOT.

Just as well it's getting SORN'd next month while I decide what to do with it. :rifle:
