He's not that good, as his rallying record proves. Bit of a different story when you have unlimited tyres and can go back and run the scene again until you get it right.

Cleaned my egr and manifold today. Wasn't as bad I thought it would be but needed doing anyway.

Is it normal for the hose leading to the egr to look this bad?

Agreed hes not very good at all.

Take a guy, give him two big sponsors (DC and Monster), Give him a mental car and film him attempting to drive, take the best bits and make a movie.....

what you end up with is loads of people getting Monster energy tattoos...

Yes he is a good driver (as in anybody who does WRC,Touring Cars and F1 etc) but hes not as good as made out.

is yours a pd170 mate? want to do the same with mine but can't seem to find a guide to doing it on my engine.

Pd140, not sure if they are the same, but it was just a matter of undoing a few Allen keys and making sure you don't drop anything in the engine bay. Its very messy but worth it.

This may help you, although most isn't relevant as its for the delete not clean, so its not necessary to remove all the pipework as shown, just the egr itself.

Im planning on doing my Pd170 Egr valve on friday to..I did my Audi A4 one and it was a messy job..I never noticed a difference after I'd done it...mines got stuttering issues I've done the map re-tweak twice and the reduction gasket and its still there in 3rd so gunna try the Egr now.

I had a swatch at a colleagues a4 but the engine bay looked different to mine, he swore it was a 170 with DPF and egr delete. If you happen to take a few pics while you're at it I'd be much obliged.
