I quite like the shape. But i think it would be very flimsy only being secured with a butt hinge into the plastic , it wouldn't take much opening and closing to sprain that hinge and /or pull the screws out of the plastic , i personally would pass on it because of that .

Hum, probably right. The hinge being the only anchorage point is probably a bad idea.

The design is pretty good IMHO, though.

I'm having trouble justifying the 150+EUR for the OEM armrest. :-\

I know what you mean i would want to try an OEM one on a journey to decide if it is really worth the money

It is very much worth it in my view. I sat on the fence for ages and eventually just went for it.

It is very comfy and does not get in the way of gear changes like some armrests do. It also is a neater solution for aux cable as it hides it away from sight.

I thought that mate. Took the plunge and bought one. Best thing I did on the car. Use it all the time.

And my dad took the piss for buying one and next time he got in the car he never stopped using It.

Buy one.
