ok so i was just about to order a DTUK for my 150tdi but seeing these judder problems is kind of putting me off slightly... now im in 2 minds weather to leave it standard or just go with my gut and buy 1.

I understand that. As far as I can read on forum, some suffer from the judder and some does not. Would I have bought the box, had I known there could be judder - 50/50, would I have bought it if it was definite that some kind of judder was to be expected, probably not. Would I like to go back today and drive without the DTUK box, nope - but I still wish I could run +1 maps without judder.

So yes, it is pretty much up to your gut feeling :)

My 1.4TSI 140 DTUK box is now looking for a new home, due to a change in circumstances. As new only used for approx 1 month. PM me if interested.

So i will give my input here with regards to the box .
Would I or should I buy one ?
That's personal preference I'd say yes as it's been well worth the money .

Can you tell the difference between stock and standard ?
This is a no brainer of course you can on all settings it is very noticeable.

What setting is best to use ?
Again this is down to preference personally I run mine on 1+2 as I like the low down boost but like 3+2 now and then when I'm in the mood for a bit fun .

Is there a judder ?
Now this is the big one again personally I have ran my box on 3+3 before and had done from getting the box that was until a journey where I got the dreaded judder now I backed off the throttle and It went . Didn't happen for a while then went for an overtake and it happened again . Now I noticed these problems seem to happen in top gear and low revs if your easy on the throttle till the car hits 1800+ revs it doesn't really happen . Now as I said my car is run on 1+2 and I thought this may cure the judder problem guess what it did to an extent it has happened once in a fare few miles and again was when in top gear when going for an overtake . I guess it will happen whatever setting the box is on so maybe adjusting the driving style is best it's what I've done and not had the problem in a while .

Would you ever take it off ?
No as it's worth adjusting the way I drive to have the power although I am very tempted by a remap see if there's any difference.

Hope this reply helps in some way and that I haven't bored anyone lol

P.s. Andrew do you answer emails I sent you one a fare few weeks back and have had no reply this was to do with the judder on setting one .

A question about the factory settings of the DTUK (trevor one)

It is possible to change between +/- 3 on each program, but I just became aware that it is also an option to have PROGRAM led on, but none of the +/- ones.

Does it mean that there's no enhancement when running in 0 mode or?

I am well aware of the option to hold P down to disable the system, just wondering if power mode 0 is the same.

Update:
Nvm - found the answer elsewhere :)

if you want to know the dyno results, have you tried their website? If you want to know how well it works I suggest you have a look over at Audi and R forums.

As far as I can remember they give you a dyno graph of the readings obtained from them when you get one of the boxes; I could be wrong. Would be interesting to know if any of the guys with the box on have went and had their cars dyno'd.

Quite.
I'll keep the Cajones for a little longer, but I would appreciate some persuasive words/terms, that may get me a better quote with a DTUK fitted.
