Suppose it's just like having a set of 3sdm wheels or alike on your leon' just not for me

No offence intended just thought the one I had was dim witted/slow to react . Sat nav was poop but then it was in a 7yr old motor.
I think I have maybe a 310 or 315 in my R and the nav alone is so ......less frustrating to use

I'm off to google 3sdm wheels as I haven't a clue

I think it was the larger screen of the kenwood that caught my eye. Is it not oem+ as I'm sure it was an optional extra

:p

Think the kenwood has now been discontinued

You can still get a kenwood dnx-520VBT off eBay, just keep a look out mate. Probably a better solution than a RNS-510 if you don't have factory bluetooth already in your car, with the highline display as the kenwood is an all in one solution.

If you have a PFL car, if you go down the rns-510 route, then PFL cars suffer from a battery drain issue and you'll have to do a little modding to one of the pins in the connector block to cure this issue, there's a good thread on fitting the rns-510 in the faq's which covers it.

Will keep an eye out mate, don't mind a second hand one at the right price so long as it's got everything that comes with a new one and is in good order.

Yeah mine has the built in Bluetooth, phone control on steering wheel and the big MFD.

I'm guessing those would still work with the kenwood

Nope, unfortunately not mate.

I bought a kenwood originally to replace the crappy stock HU in mine. However, it completely disabled the factory bluetooth & voice control.....I also have highline clocks & factory Bluetooth.

The kenwood has bluetooth & comes with its own mic, which you install.

Also lost the ability to display track/radio station on the highline clocks with the kenwood, so that in turn disabled the steering wheel buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

So, because I preferred the cars bluetooth & voice control & I wanted to keep all the steering wheel buttons functionality, I got rid of the kenwood & bought an RNS-510.

With the rns-510 fitted, I have the factory bluetooth, voice control, all steering wheel buttons work, all track/station ID is displayed in the dash and in addition, if using the NAV then turn by turn guidance is shown on the dash with the highline clocks as well as the voice instructions for the NAV. Everything is integrated.
Even when I adjust the temperature or adjust the blower setting, that comes up on the RNS-510's display.....added bonus!

In your case mate, as you have highline clocks & factory bluetooth, get a RNS-510
