I was having problems with my dpf.. was doing regen at the wrong times. High revs at idle, smells strong deisiel fumes.. cannot accelerate sometimes until at 3000rpm. Coil light come on occasionally but it's never gone into limp mode. I ham a dpf delete and remap and I'm still getting the same issues.. is it possible for the light to come on still.. could his delete map not work?? Its not showing any error codes. Could something else be wrong? Its 2007 seat leon tdi fr

how long where you driving round with the light on before you had it mapped out, how many times did it come on... and did you force a regen before getting it done

The car did regen before when I took it on the motor way but it's kept trying to do it when it didn't need to on slow roads which then turned the dpf light on.. so I got it mapped but still same. I tried unplugging the heat sensor on the dpf but still happening. Its also had the egr blanked and deleted but I still got a egr error code

Also this problem is not happening all the time.. some times its everyday sometimes it takes a week and the egr has also be blanked

Unfortunately its as unit has already said.... who ever's had you're pants down id go get you're money back then take it somewhere and get it done properly.

He insists that his map is not the problem and I'm pretty sure I will not get my money back.. the performance side of it is fine the cars quite a bit faster but I know it will be ****ed I'd it's not sorted. Twice now it's filled the street with smoke after idling and then pulling off. How confident are you that the map is the problem?

I do this for a living and it is trust me, you probs a million mile away' I'm in the north east if you get stuck

Sounds most likely too that only the dtc codes have been diasbaled too and it not done properly, the regen cycle etc is still active

Yep I'm in Midlands.. so would he have done this knowing it would not work or is it just a poor map and he really things it's worked

My opinion if he knows what it's doing and saying different very poor map and service, fair enough if it happened ,you had said he took a look etc and sorted it, tried to find the problem, or even knew what the problem is ,found the problem etc, but to say it's some thing else and fob you off. Don't think he knows what he is doing,

Some mistakes can be made but in this case it's no mistake but poor quality, have to be careful now. There's so many people offering £80-£100 maps now it's unreal and the amount of problems people having around my area is unreal, a lot coming from quantum maps, precision code works too for example a map is bought with credits on there site for say about £20. Then you are charged by them (£80-£100) surely that speaks of the quality,

Also another one to look out for is the amount that uses clone Kess v2 tools with cheap remaps' with been a clone doesn't come with any alien tech support if anything goes wrong in which you knackard

First he said it's probably my egr so I blanked it. Then he said it's probably the heat sensor unplugged. Still happening. I paid 250 for a delete and remap from remaps-uk.co.uk

EGR wouldn't cause the problem if it was mapped out and not blanched at all

Heat sensor shouldn't cause the problem either. If that dtc was left there why not map it out, could he not show you the code if it was there, if there is that dtc, was it there before the work, that's the question

Did he gut the DPF too, because it can be dangerous running a mapped car with DPF delete and the DPF intact,

At first I though I gutted it but now he tells me the he just drilled a hole straight through.. trade secret apparently. It didn't show any codes when I took it. Now it's showing codes for egr and obviously the heat sensor. Dpf light hasn't been on for a few days and it only came on rarely before but the problem is still there without the light

you joking. It needs removing completely, as there's a risk of future problems such as if it starts calapsing and so on

probely damaged the sensor too when he drilled it for **** sake

He said he did a delete and bore a hole straight through. Thanks for your help. He said he will knock it out for me but would this cause more problems if the delete isn't working. What price should I be paying for the work to be done properly.

Price differs to be honest, example I'm in a luck position and have no over heads, don't have to pay mortgage on the unit so can offer competitive prices, I'd do the labour properly' remap and delete the EGR and DPF for £320. But that's me,

You need the full insides out, will be better than drilling the hole. Personally I'd go else where, getting them to do the job twice' Jesus, says money back garentee etc, as them about the sensor as they will have damaged it when drilling the unit. Personally after all that I couldn't trust them.

If he says he will knock it out for you why didn't he do that in the first place and decide to do it second time.
