Lol. I got fed up with falling off my high horse so I only ever climb on Shetlands now...it hurts less when I fall!

All I'm saying is that Bosch make it clear that these wipers fit and do the job they are designed for but they aren't identical to oem. They certainly aren't in breach of any trading standards. Carparts4less are the ones who should make it clear on their website. Eurocarparts used to list them as suitable but with a note which mentioned the difference in size...I'm on my phone so can't check if this is still the case. Bosch certainly mention it on their website and in their sales literature.

Sorry for opening a can of worms folks but at least anyone else reading this thread will be able to make an informed choice, save a few quid and get the twin pack or buy them individually but pay for extra packaging that you didn't want in the first place!

Correct, either way they are a damn sight cheaper than dealer supplied ones no matter which make you go for and if one type does not suit then others may. Half the price of oem ones if they do the job is all that's required.

The Valeo twin pack are the correct size 26"/16" and IMO just as good as the Bosch. There's a motor factors up north selling them on eBay for about 20 quid . I'll find a link if anyone is interested.

I ordered a front set of the Bosch Aerotwins from eurocarparts for £20, went to pick up, paid the bill only to find the drivers side was 2" shorter than OEM wipers. Went straight back in as I was fitting them in the car park, asked for a 26" to replace the 24" but they would not swap it as it was part of a set, passenger side was correct at 16". So they tried to sell me the correct size as separates but wanted to charge an extra £15, so I got a refund and walked away empty handed. Googled around and ended up ordering the separates from the same place, collection from a different branch, but with on line discount for £10 less than they tried to charge me over the counter, went to pick up the next day, only to find the order had not gone through to branch so the guy behind the counter sold me the separates at full trade discount, less than £21 incl vat!

I had a similar issue with ECP a few years ago and with Halfords last year. In both cases the staff got the right parts and then said to order them online for collection by using my phone and then I could get them at the online price or apply a web only discount.
Halfords even gave me the correct product code.
If you get staff like that then they are great.

That would be handy, for future reference in my case.

Meppershall Beds.
after numerous calls and abortive webchats to euro car parts about their Bosch Aerotwin pack that's the wrong size the local manager agreed to swap the 24 for a 26 free, and got it delivered to me within 2 hours.
No explanation from them as to why their website shows the wrong size as a suitable replacement, but I'll know next time...

One email to carparts4less and 26" blade in post, no arguments Andrew. As was said before just because Bosch can't be a...d to put a 26 inch blade in the box (and change the spec.) instead of a 24 inch[:@]

everytime I see this I read "carparts4les" as "carpets4less", a local purveyor of flooring sundries.

The eBay shop I bought from no longer lists the Valeos. Cheapest I can find online is £24odd plus postage.

Valeo VM844 is the retail code / Valeo 577844 is the product code.

I fell into the same trap with bosch / Euro car parts. The guy behind the counter wouldn't accept that they weren't correct - even bought up a screen on his computer to "prove" that they were correct! TBH I couldn't be bothered to argue with him. However, I was planning on venting off an email to their head office, but never did get round to it. The annoying thing it when you check their website it is actually pretty obvious.

Does that mean you will get fitted up, if you buy goods from them. Maybe it's just me, but I always get a tape measure and check my wiper sizes BEFORE I order any.

you know the REALLY stupid part?
I did measure up. I KNEW mine was 26".
Somehow it never registered that the Bosch pack was a 24 - not until I read all the threads!!
Bedford branch couldn't have been more helpful, but the head office was useless,
Until I left a poor review, then they bucked up!

will be much more careful next time...

It appears that Bosch have removed the note from the Aerotwin retail info which states that the supplied drivers side is a shorter blade. I found the following listed in their online automotive catalogue, but it took some digging around to find it. What is strange is that the Aerotwin they supply for LHD models comes with a 26" - What's that all about??...Poor show from Bosch.
