Fitted mudflaps on my Cupra

Rear: OEM partnr. 5F0075101D

Front: Rallyflapz plain Kaylan

I've always thought the dealer mugged me off when he told me them little plastic things on the arch were the mud flaps for Cupra...

They fit well, might have to get the rears for mine. The fronts look quite long and it will brush over the speed bumps where I am.
But they definitely look good, closer to a baby RX car with that setup

The lower, the better the protection, this looks about right to me (looks more discrete/integrated when the wheels are pointing straight). Ordered them in durable/flexible Kaylan (Urethane instead of PVC) so the occasional brush shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers. Performance Pack. Switched to lighter smaller 18", the Ultralleggera 18x8 et45 is the only* 18" that fit on a stock PP car as far as I know without spacers/too low et.



*(there is another, my winter wheels, but +3kg and out of production already)

Yesterday I did a few bits:

Changed rear reverse light to a cree led - I can actually see whilst reversing at night now. The standard one was useless.

Changed the driver's side windscreen wiper as the standard one was smeering. Car is 2 years old.

Changed the air filter as apparently this won't be done in seat services until the car is 4 years old.

Finished sound deadening the last door.

Quite a productive day

My front tyres are on the verge of being slicks (after ~8k) ive read somewhere on this forum Michelin Pilot sport 4S is the go to tyre, I just can't seem to find them anywhere. Anyone know where they are available?
If not I might just opt for the super sport (hoping there isn't much difference)

Temporarily fixed my boot light (it's decided it needs a tap to do anything, like a dodgy connection)

Got annoyed at my parcel shelf- it only latches on one side as the other latch has popped off and fallen down the panel gap. Anyone have any ideas how to get to it?

Got a message on my dash to tell me I need an oil change in 500 miles (still find it baffling it tells me I need an oil change when im 3/4s through a service interval)

Failed to clean it once again as it helps hide the dent in my drivers door courtesy of a mouth breather getting worked up over his own driver error.

Black friday was an excuse to order a thicker rear arb for my Cupra ST which is otherwise stock suspension wise. Twice as stiff, it should help the car rotate at turn-in and make the rear end a bit more throttle adjustable, bit like a Focus ST or a Megane RS (which is almost too much). More fun basically.

Anybody did this mod on a Cupra (ST) already?

Twice as stiff, it should help the car rotate at turn-in and make the rear end a bit more throttle adjustable, bit like a Focus ST or a Megane RS (which is almost too much). More fun basically.

Yes, a bit. Rear will resist roll more, giving the front inner tyre more grip and the rear inner tyre less, promoting rotation and pushing the overall balance towards oversteer. The Cupra ST is a pretty balanced car, the rear follows well most of the time, and steps aside in similar fashion as the front and understeer is limited and manageable. But I love to drive small roads and am all about handling. I'm used to driving rwd sports cars, I went Cupra ST because I needed space for my family and wanted something that handled well and didn't approach two tonnes. And then, the rear is a little bit too inert and I have to provoke a bit too much to get the rear to play to the point I feel silly for trying. For daily duty, the esp with the diff yaw dampening and ultimately the brakes will catch a more oversteery rear. But I hope it will give me a lot more joy on a back road run, with hopefully the rear coming actively into play and needing som grip management there too (now it's all about the front)....

Twice the stiffness* seems reasonable (roll stiffness also comes from the springs), and it's tubular and has self lubricated bushes. Not cheap but should do what I expect.


*measured my rear arb to 21,7mm = GTI
