ceramic brake pads

Hi i have the cupra 290 and i want to ask if ceramic brake pads are alright for the cupra.
i have a lot of brake dust and this is the reason that i want to change the brake pads to ceramic.

Let me know how you get on with this, the only ones that have taken my interest aren't ceramic but brembo big brakes retail at about £1800 but require a spacer to fit, whether or not the extra space gained would help prevent less brake dust getting on the wheels is another thing.

Diamond cut allots are a complete blag only ever look clean the day there done

why would you go ceramic? are you tracking the car?

race pads can produce even more and nasty dust if they are not getting really hot and up to temps. they can squeal quite badly too and sometimes make road braking from cold a lot worse.

Pagid RS pads have some low dust options as do performance friction.

My son has a c250 CDi and it suffered from a brake squeal and a load of dust. It was suggested to fit pagid costs more but last longer. It does exactly what we were told.

Think your mixing your pads up, ceramic pads do produce dust but its much finer and does not stick to wheels.
They are quite good under a wide range of temperatures for consistent performance. But race pads they are NOT as they dont absorb heat as well as semi-metaillic pads etc will, which can increase brake system temperatures.
They are good if you don't like brake dust on your wheels but not really suitable for racing or if your heavy on the brakes
I'd probably get them only if I wanted to not have brake dust on my wheels and i didn't track the car
