Its took all of three days to start messing with my 2016 1.4 eco tsi fr technology, today I decided to start on the interior, exhaust tips and de badge the rear.

So first up the tips were looking pretty minging

After using 0000 wire wool, autosol and autoglym metal polish I managed to get them reasonably clean, then I applied carpro dlux to making cleaning them in the future a doddle.

Onto the interior I used autosmart g101 to clean the plastics, then used odk cabin to keep them looking factory fresh and used dr leather wipes on the seat inserts and steering wheel.

Onto the rear boot I used fishing line to remove the badges and tar and glue remover to remove the residue.

Plans for the future will be a full machine polish next week if the weather stays good and maybe some bits and pieces as i go along.

Some pics to get you all started

Looking good dude.

Is it easy to take the letters off? i want to remove the TDI on mine
Dead easy mate, fishing line is best but have used dental floss before, just use a sawing motion behind the letter and they come off without scratching the paint, then use a hair dryer to warm the residue up and it peels off, I normally finish up with some glue remover

Tar remover does the job as well.

Pipes look great but I don't like the debadge, it looks far too plain now.

I've considered removing the Cupra badging for Leon badging ( I like sleeper cars} but barely anyone notices the car as is.

Can you please give us a pic of the whole side and rear of the car? I don't like it in the picture there but I think if i could see the whole car I might think differently.

Yeah I'll get a pic done, so you want to see the debadge from farther away

I work at DPD so work at both hubs, it's a pain driving through brum all the time

I had 3 DPD deliveries today lol.... Yeah traffic is woeful, I rarely get to put my foot down. Some days I take the M5/M42 but it's triple the distance but at least I can go fast.
