Cupra ST 300 4 Drive inbound, got a few questions!

Hi guys,

So this will be my first Cupra, and I've ordered through IMG Warrington.
I've been keeping tabs on it via Seat customer care, and it shipped from the
factory about 2.5 weeks ago (or so Im told).

First questions then, in the real world, how long does it take on average to hit the dealer? And, how long on average should it take the dealer to get it ready so I can collect?

Next, I'm going to take gap insurance but having been reading through the forum,
I'm wondering if alloy cover may be worth adding on? There seems to be a few threads about alloy damage, so is this something that happens easily on the Cupra?

I'm coming from a VRS, and I've never really had any issues, but if it's something that's worth doing I might look at it. Also, does anything have any recommendations for insurance (gap / alloy)?

Just my opinion but I didn't bother with alloy cover on my car - I have a Golf R with the 19" Pretoria wheels which supposedly, are vulnerable to damage - over two years in and still as good as new - but I'm the only one who drives my car. Depends on who or how many people drive yours really - I've had a few run ins with potholes but everything fine so far.

No that's great thank you, opinion is exactly what I'm after. I'm a pretty careful driver tbh, but the roads in Cheshire are awful at the moment so just trying to weigh up if it's worth it.

Others haven't been so lucky though. Get some PS4S's, they are pretty tough and have good rim protection too.

Exact same here - Loving the Cupra and the 4drive makes all the difference up here on the Finnish winter

i hit a pothole hard and split my sidewall of my winter tyres.

I did the same, bugled the tyre and flattened the alloy, had a bill for £895 for a wheel and tyre. I’m trying to claim from the council as he pot hole was massive. I have the 19’s too
