IMG Warrington for repair work - recommendations?

Replaced the auxiliary water pump apparently. Will post more details once I get it back.
That’s a long time to have a car to replace the water pump?
Was it booked in for that, or were they trying to find an issue which resulted in that work?

They found the issue on day 2, waited for parts until day 6, ready for collection day 7
Aaah fair enough. Wonder who they use...I thought most places used TPS for their genuine parts.
Saying that, mine went in with a suspected coolant leak from the water pump, they had a new pump within a day which then turned out to be faulty. They then got sent a new one, which turned out to be the wrong one, and then had to wait for the correct part to arrive.
So these things do happen.
Luckily the garage had other bits to do on my car at the same time so it wasn’t just sat around.

Car back with me now (Friday) having dropped it off the previous Wed.
IMG replaced the auxiliary water pump under warranty, for which they had to drop the bumper. The delay was explained as due to a new parts distributor. The pump eventually arrived after 4pm on the Tue and the car was ready to pick up 5pm Thu.
IMG were good at communicating, phoning me with updates daily. I’d booked it in without requesting a courtesy car but they offered me one when the delay became protracted.
They didn’t wash or vac it before returning, nor provide an inspection report into brake and tyre wear as Lookers do. Not a big deal but the little things do make a difference.
Overall I would use again, but with a courtesy car arranged from the outset.

I've decided against MK Automotive personally because they were funny with me, booked it in with Lookers but I need them to respray etc, their sales manager clearly wants nothing to do with it and wants me to ring back a couple of days before to make sure they can do it! So I might cancel all that, service it at IMG and take it into Lookers Stockport sooner (I wanted a courtesy car so I have to wait till the end of next month) so they can respray where they ****** up and see if they can sort any of the god awful rattles.
