Re-reading the specs., I've just realised that there won't be a 1.5TSi with DSG.
If that's correct, then I can imagine that being a complete deal-breaker for a lot of people.

I was speaking to a dealer in Dublin yesterday and he was telling me he ordered a 1.5TSI DSG, I'd be surprised if it wasn't available.

I see that the new VW Golf with the 1.5 EVO engine is also currently available as a manual only. This could well change though, as it’s not unknown for VW to expand the range of engine / transmission options after a new model launch. Currently only two models of the Golf available, so I’d expect some of the yet to be launched models to have a 1.5 engine with DSG, and I’d be surprised if this wasn’t also the case with the new Leon.

There is a 1.5 tsi DSG available. All Mild Hybrid models are DSG only., so on the spec list its the 1.5 eTSI MHEV.

Anyone have any idea when UK orders will open? What do we think the eTSI models are going to set us back?

Hi - welcome to the site. Hopefully, get UK pricing soon, but not at this stage. First drive of the cars in a couple of weeks for the press, might get something then (17th-18th March).

Currently in a facelift MK3 1.4tsi FR Technology in Monsoon Grey with 18s, winter pack and spare wheel.

I have ordered a MK4 1.5tsi manual estate, FR Sport in Emocion red with spare wheel. Looking at a 3 month lead time as it's a factory order.

I ordered my 1.5 TSI (150) FR Sport on the 16th September and dealer has said they now don't expect it to arrive until closer to the end of December, beginning of January.

Ordered an FR 1.5 TSi on the 4th of November, and has just been allocated build week 50 so being built in 2 weeks time by my calculations. I should have it mid January all going well.
