Out of interest, for those who have them fitted, how much did it increase the insurance premium by?

Never thought about that. I've got the OEM sideskirts and front lip fitted and never declared to the insurance company.

The inserts look really tempting, I feel the exterior needs a tad more copper to set of the MY19/20 colour scheme.

Not sure how long I'm keeping the car for though its due to go back in January.

This photo shows the cut out better (or if you prefer worse):

This part is from a Mexico edition car.

I crumbled and just bought the Cupra R Fog light inserts. So much for being different :roflmao:

I’ve tried to get part numbers for the black surrounds and yeah it’s proving difficult. I can find the side arch bits but not as separate numbers....

What pushed me was contacting Horton who said there was only one available in the warehouse so I ended up panic buying. Most likely a sales fib.......
But like you I'd failed to find part numbers for the other style.
I forgot to mention this group too! Think there's a members discount.

Unfortunately you can only get them as a set of cupra r front and rears which are around.... drum roll please

€880

They are separate on the r though so they must have a part number

I was on about the Mexican ones, I originally thought they were the same as the cupra r but I’ve just looked at the above photos and realised they aren’t the same, the Mexican join line is lower. Damn there’s that idea out the window...

It’s more than the join line.

The R inserts sit within the original plastic grill area. And the R arch extensions sit about 1.5” away from them. They also sit flush with the splitter (if fitted properly I’ve seen some press R’s that aren’t)

That Mexican’s black surrounds sit outside the original plastic sections, and the arch extension style bit doesn’t sit flush with the splitter.

Some people have managed to do it without removing the bumper and just pulling the original grills out with a sharp hard yank.

I will try the none bumper removal method first, however that's not the reason I have to wait until July. Hopefully it doesn't go wrong......
