• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
Thanks all for the input on this thread.

I have decided to stick with original choice of the VZ2 with just a touch of colour added or I may stick with the white solid as I quite like the white.

For the mileage I will be doing, I will not need to fill up more than once a month and for the extra £30 fuel cost compared to the Leon...it will be worth it!

I have since seen a few more videos and comments online about folk hiting 35mpg easily on motorway cruising so why not!

Just out a request for a leasing quote from leasing options and waiting to hear on availability.

I am proceeding blind here as still no test drive but I have driven the new golf so I know what to expect.

Thanks @Agnes.Surrey and @Ricknffc

Exciting time!

I suggest test drive again. What if you're disappointed? Also, talk to Lookers Stockport for PCH deals. Contact details from PCH thread: [email protected]

Car looks good on paper, but it may not live to your expectations.

Andy Cunningham got me a great lease deal, Johnsons Fleet: [email protected]. Happy hunting ?

Picked up car today. 45 miles motorway home from dealership, rest just driving round town, not too bad!. Lookingbforward to making it lower though

37.7 mpg doing 180 miles mostly on M25 & M1, 36.7 on return.

Both ways average speed 53mph.

Starting to see some pretty decent returns with family and luggage in car A road driving.

Preston to Lancaster. One set of road works stopped me from getting 45mpg. With family and luggage that's pretty good going. Apparently I've not used any fuel since I set off either ? ha

Last one on this I promise as I don't want to o come across like I'm driving my VZ2 like a boring fucker ha but find it interesting and just wanted to see what could be done. So with my 1 year old and wife in car, pram, shopping and me (15 stone) I did 42 miles at just over 45mpg. And apparently used 5 miles worth of petrol range as it said 250 range when got in this morning.

@Ricknffc I know we talked about this before...but you are making me reconsider my decision to order a V2 instead of the VZ2!!!!

Great mpg with all that extra weight!

I just added the safety pack and panoramic roof on my V2 and the numbers are now edging closer to a VZ2 lease...for 4 years mind you instead of three!

I wouldn’t lease for any more than 3 years - you’ll be out of warranty and liable for MOT and another service (sending car back just before it’s 3rd birthday avoids those).

@AndyCupra93 ....leasing options are posting the vz2 now at £304 for 3 years but with 12M down plus their £200 fee for 8K miles.

That is about £25 more on what I have agreed for the V2 plus safety pack XL ( with 9m down) which the VZ2 includes as standard. Only thing missing is the panoramic roof which is bound to add another £25 on top.

Hmmm!

£397 a month averaged, not bad, mine is £401 on 1+35 with metallic paint. 5k miles (but 6.2ppm excess so 8k miles works out for me at about £416/m averaged).

Mine is £388 month 9k miles, 4 years no money put down initially just used positive equity from seat Leon PCP, Metallic paint, 2 years servicing.

Agree I will have to pay for 3rd year service but hey ho. Seen as though it is the family car when we all go out and no one else approves me driving it like a hooligan mpg is quite important for me on the family journeys. Yes it wasn't exactly thrilling ha but I just enjoyed the relaxing drive. I have plenty of time when I'm alone to drive it properly so swings and roundabouts.

You tempted to pull the plug on V2 and go for VZ2.? Also it's worth noting I used individual mode where I have everything set up to be as timid as possible including engine in 'eco'. It's quite horrible knowing you have all that under your right foot and your not using it but like I say if the family is in then usually there is 4 of us in the car including the little one so can't thrash it anyway.

@Ricknffc yeah I am tempted. If I go for the VZ2 I cannot stretch to the panoramic sunroof unfortunately but I am tempted and at £304 over 3 years is very tempting.

I started the V2 Vs VZ2 thread some time ago and o was persuaded there to go for the V2 but now I see folk are getting reasonable mpg after they have done a few thousand miles and tweaked the settings.

I am not a fast driver anyway, I work from home and the school run is barely 5 miles a day plus some kiddie errands. So I will never do hundreds of miles a week to be 'scared' of the fuel bill. If we ever do any long journeys...as you say I can be careful with the family in the car.

For comparison I did 17000 miles in 2.5 years on my old Leon and a lot of them was my wife taking my car to visit some friends of hers across country.

Initial choice was the VZ2 but I chickened out and went for the V2 instead. I can see myself switching back. Now that I have seen the car and I am happy with the space inside I think I might be calling my agent tomorrow.!!!

Sorry for throwing another spanner in the works! Ha. Yeah I mean I'm on roughly 1.5k miles and like people have said after running in and the components have settled down etc the efficiency does start to rise a little bit. I was like you mate I thought I would have to go for the V2 because I didn't let myself think I could have the VZ2. With it only being my 2nd car and being a bit pessimistic I thought V2 would be the only realistic option but I thought ' personally there is no point in me getting this lovely new cupra if I haven't got the trademark performance' I'm glad I made my choice. I probably would still have been happy with the V2 as long as I never experienced the VZ2! Ha

It's your last dance with an ICE car as we will all be in elec on our next lease so get the full fat version.

Go big or go home and get the big boy. You know it makes sense ?

Yeah @Ricknffc I hear what you are saying. It is not my second car but it is likely to be the last ICE car I will own.

So maybe we should go out with a bang!! Maybe the Cupra Tavascone next???

I'm no where near that MPG :), but if you are not scared by potentially having 25 mpg then go for it. I'm sure it is more enjoyable and memorable.

I do a lot of city driving with short trips and that is the worst for mpg. Did you consider an e-hybrid with 245 PS? That might be perfect for your needs, decent power, great MPG on short trips. Especially if you can charge at home.

Too much of a compromise on the boot space I am afraid plus it will blow the budget for sure! But yes you are right on the shirt trips.

But in my case I may not need to fill up more than once a month which is what I do now anyway.

( I am trying to sell it to myself here!)
