Hi is there a build progress online checker like you can do with VW /BMW ect ?
had a quick look cant see anything ,i have my SLI/order number .i like to check for myself rather than contact suppliers .

Do you have build week assigned or still waiting?
no i just called them ,they said the order was placed about 3 weeks ago and is too early ,,,,,i was told early oct at the latest ,cupra said nov but could be quite a bit sooner.i will check at the end of july again.car sharing is driving me nuts just 3 weeks in ,.... :p

Just double checked ,cupra given me a build week or 48 !!! i was told i would have the car by early oct, just awaiting a call back ,if this is correct i will cancel and get something else.

48 week is like end of November, beginning of December. Before you cancel, make sure you secure something else. Other brands have similar delays.

Or just go for used one, but prices are higher than usual.

yes thanks Agnes. got a call back saying not to worry as it will a lot sooner they hoped ,they just had a car that was to be ready September and its ready now !!
so fingers crossed ,its no biggie for me but my good lady wife will have a duck fit ,,,,(car sharing lol)

Went quiet on receiving confirmed build date (was told should have been confirmed a week or 2 ago) so I did what others had done and contacted Cupra Customer Services...waited a while and SEAT customer services who answered were basically uninterested..told me to contact dealer. Not sure why I disn't do that first but read positive posts about contacting them direct. Found out today that my provisional build date has moved from week 24 to week 36!!! Hopefully they might have all the right bits needed by then (not using microchips out of an old fridge) and sorted the tech out..still, mightily peeved!!

I ordered mid of March.
According to my dealer there are 6 steps/statuses until the build week is confirmed. Mine is currently at step 4 and the build week has changed everytime I’ve spoken with the dealer. First it was week 23, then 31, 27 and now 35.

My VZ Edition value is on the up - increased by £1200 in a month according to WBAC (and the miles have increased during that time).
Getting out of it is not going to be as painful financially as I previously thought!

supply v demand

I think i may cancel and look for a a stock car from another manufacturer.....i know its down to the semi conductor issue but i feel we are getting lied to and fobbed off.i was assured a month ago when i ordered it would be no later than the first week of October now been told last week of November ....i wish i had my beemer back now with the nice warm weather to utilise the power....:(

Think we’re all being fed a line when it comes to build dates. Not a very good start for Cupra in a lot of ways, with customer satisfaction judging by some of these comments. I’m willing to stick with it for now, as it’s pretty much the same across the board, and I just love the look of the car.

Perhaps there’s more to it than just shortages. I ordered my Cupra in March and received it three weeks later. Sounds great, except if you consider how dodgy it has been - all the known infotainment system faults + my car failing to start twice, with an undiagnosed cause...

Regardless of reason behind it, one hopes they are using this time to actually debug the vehicle software. Orders delivered late this year might end up being MY22 versions with spec changes/improved hardware.
