Thanks @ninja_geezer I can't believe I missed the little chat icon at the bottom!

I have a provisional build date of 36 now, which is fine, if it happens! That would mean about October to the UK and as I need it early November, that will be perfect.
Good news on my order today too, chased dealer and told my order is build week 33. Hoorah. ?

What date was you given ?
Originally week 26 i think. Was told recently my car was actually built in June. So build date basically seems to mean we will build it as much as we can. I'm stuck waiting for a chip and have been told no eta. From information posted her earlier , some customers are being told march next year for delivery lol. I will be waiting for an update this week and then going second hand. Sick of waiting so long for something that will probably be plagued with issues when it does arrive.

Yes its not good but same for every new car. Only chance to buy new is buy something that is already built and in stock. Theres a few hybrid formentors and the low bhp petrol ones you can find probably. But anything that is still waiting to be built who knows when. If you dig around there's a few things pointing at it taking ages and going on until 2022. But who really knows

Just tried this link. The response was that their system is down and to contact my dealer. I didn't order through a Cupra dealer, I ordered through a company new car scheme who deal with Cupra direct. I'll try again tomorrow.
i just used the link spoke to a lady called Ruby.just says my car is currently in production and to check end of this week for updates.

My VZ2 build was week 26 also (order placed in April) and have had the same response from the dealer in so much 'it's gone through the factory but waiting for semiconductor chip components'. An open ended 'cars are being completed when parts arrive and no idea of a delivery date' is making it hard decision on which way to go as i'm not certain how long we'll be able to hold on for, particularly as we've been without a vehicle since end of April.

Managed to get through to Ruby myself this time. Build for my car will commence 9th August. News at last! Whether it's ready for the prospective delivery date of 30th October, given the semi-conductor shortage, remains to be seen!

Just got notification that my car is built and has a VIN number (ordered beginning of May) but can't be completed because missing one part (chip shortage related) and no idea when it will be delivered. At least I don't have to add container ship delivery to the delay!

When did you place your order?

i think this is exactly what i will be told later this week. There will be 1000,s of nearly built cars sat all over the world awaiting the chips for .....

My Abarth was 2.5y old at registration, so was stored for quite some time and it definitely started to rust underneath. Before it was delivered, importer or dealer undersealed cars from this last registration batch.

My last Audi was waiting for 10 months from production to collection and it was fine. It even had some sighseeing trips, initially delivered to Northern Ireland then moved to Liverpool, where it waited 2.5 month for me, from order to collection, as I delayed collection as long as possible.

A few weeks or months of storage in Barcelona won't be an issue, unless paint get damaged by bird droppings.
