• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
I'm thinking about cancelling mine. VWFS aren't committing to letting me keep my current car beyond the end of January (after suggesting I could keep it until the Formentor turned up)

I'm just not convinced the car is going to rock up before March.

Such a shame :( I'm not expecting mine till next year now either
Ditto re not expecting until next year.

My current lease is with ALD automotive, as is the Formentor but they say they can't extend the current lease at all.

I'm not going to cancel because I got a good deal and I'm still looking forward to getting the car... eventually. My plan is to buy something old and cheap to get me around until the Formentor arrives.

My Formentor is also with ALD through Leasing Options. Also got a good deal, especially looking at the current deals at the moment. This is my first brand new car, currently drive a 2011 Mini Cooper S which I'm planning to keep.

Sure you're all aware but the deals we all accepted on ordering can be cancelled with new terms offered if cupra don't like the deal anymore. One of the reasons I'm thinking of cancelling.

Well I've just chases Leasing Options for an update. They've told me I now have a confirmed build date... But they can't tell me what the date is! WTF!?

They have said I should get a date next week.

At least you've got a build date hopefully! I've still not got one :( tried to contact the supplying dealer directly, but just got fobbed off! There seems to be a few 245 petrols going into build in the next few weeks, so I can only hope?

Leasing Options wouldn't tell me who the supplying dealer is. Cupra customer services say they no longer give updates. So I'm stuck with waiting on Leasing Options. To be fair they do seem to be giving me whatever information the dealer gives them.

I'm with Leasing Options as well, I got told a few months ago that it was Swansway Crewe who were supplying them. Yes it's not great at the moment Cupra doesn't seem to be passing on information to the dealers who can't update the brokers properly. I do feel sorry for them, LO do reply very quickly when I've asked any questions

For those wondering: VZ1 build in Sept; heated steering wheel and capacitive buttons in the back

How are you liking the car so far mate? How's the engine? Still have no news on mine yet :(
Overall happy with the car; had it for a day, but so far these are my pros and cons:

+ fine engine, good acceleration in sport and Cupra mode. In comfort, gearbox is a bit lethargic.
+ heats up very quickly, especially compared to my old EP3, great on cold days :p
+ no fake engine noise (though the option would have been nice)
+ lots of kit, but it will take time for me to get used to the touchscreen
- tyres are rather loud on the highway. It might be the tyre type, the fact that its on 19' or high tyre pressure (?) checking pressure is on my to-do list
- adaptive suspension has more than a dozen settings, but tbh even between comfort and Cupra the difference is not huge. I've test-driven a 1.5 V1, but ordered this one. It might be just me, but I think that overall it has a harder suspension setup

Don't loose hope - I shared my order history on a different thread, but suffice to say until end of October, I thought its not even scheduled for production

Leasing Options just emailed me to say the car is built! So it's gone from no date at all to built and ready to ship, not that I'm complaining. I'm told it should be at the dealers early January.

Great news! Hoping I hear something soon as I'm the same no build date at all and ordered 1st June, did you add any options/metallic paint?
