I have exactly the same car and bought this one:

It has more CCA than the previous version that was in the car.
Delivery is quick and easy as well.
I've been looking at replacing the battery in my 184FR. Looking at either the Bosch, Yuasa or Varta in that order. Leaning towards the Bosch as I've had them before and it has a 5 year warranty.
@Brian Gordon-Stables - Did you use a battery memory saver or just let all the errors come up and then go for a drive to clear them?

I bought mine from Advanced Battery Supplies , mail order from Stockport. Found them really good value for money
Be aware that you should recode the Battery management module 61 with VCDS when changing the battery, especially if you fit a higher capacity to the one you are replacing. Could cause issues with the start stop if not recoded

I'm a wee bit late to this "party" but for sources of supply I can also recommend Tayna.
For any of you who have a Halfords trade card it's well worth trying them. I recently got a Yuasa silver from them for our Fiat Panda which worked out at the same, maybe a few pence less, than the Tayna price for the identical battery once shipping was included on the Tayna offering. Dingbro are also very competeitive if you can access them (they are trade only)
PS I have VCDS but I'm an "Old School Idiot" and lack confidence as far as the more adventurous operations. I happily use it for service functions and viewing fault codes, viewing sensor outputs and stuff like that. I've never attempted to code a battery using it. I had a conversation with RUM on this forum some time ago when my Ibiza needed a new battery about this subject but I never went any further with it largely because the battery failed when I was away from home so I just had to get a main agent to fit a new one for me - A financially bruising experience! - Could someone perhaps post a step by step detailed guide as to how to do this coding operation?

I did not use a battery saver. I got a few dash lights but went for a drive and they all cleared. Did cause me some brief anxiety!
I used my Carista app and dongle to just change the battery ID number. . "Coding" makes it sound more complicated, but you're just telling the car that you've fitted a new battery so it adapts the charging cycle. I literally changed the ID by one digit and that was it.
That's OK if you replace the battery for one with the same CCA and AH figures. Any changes in the battery power or output need additional coding to the ID number. When I picked up my Toledo, the start stop was very flaky, and noticing the previous owner had changed the battery, I looked at the settings and saw the fitted battery incorrectly coded. Once coded to what it should be, the start stop immediately began working as it should
Thanks for that. Although I did a like for like swap, the newer battery had a higher CCA. Can I change that coding with Carista or does it need something like VCDS? My stop start is slow to kick in in cold weather but not sure if that is just another SEAT `feature`!

This is exactly what's puzzling me. I've been told, by more than one source, that without the info on the BEM code label it's not possible to correctly align the battery with the electronics on the vehicle.
It is, you just need to change the serial number to something else. Any 10 digit serial will be accepted. If the capacity is different, you can code it (see the link posted earlier).
Thanks Alex. My Ibiza is the only VAG product in the family at this time and, with it's new battery fitted last year, I'm hoping I won't be needing to do any battery coding sometime soon. However my younger boy is looking for a Leon ST at this time so there may be another in the "Family Fleet" soon It does annoy me though that I don't know how to do this so I'll continue trying to get my head round the problem and understand how to use the VCDS to do it.
These are photos of the old and new batteries. Looks like the original had a similar label.

Yes, but, one battery is VW Group part and so has BEM labelling on it, the other is an aftermarket Varta battery with a product identifier QR label on, reading that label using a QR reader will not reveal much of interest/use when coding it to a car. That battery is what I’d call a “post BEM” product, from the time after VW Group and others had been told to stop that restrictive nonesense!
