HelloProbably an option on the infotainment unit to eject the memory stick else it scrambles the lookup table. Mind you can't find it mentioned in the manual not to say it isn't on the screens thou.
Well the mib3 software is pretty buggy. The Leon 4 and Formentor people have the most experience with it since more of those models are sold. They might have an answer over there. I'm on trusty mib2.Hello
There is no eject button as far as I can see. No problem with any other car I've had. But why dont all tracks show up when you press selection button, they are there if you manually go through them, but just dont show using selection button
Reckon it is up-to-date. Been having a conversation on this thread. 23.1 was cìted as the latest you got 23.2... e.g.. Feb 2023. One month on.Here is latest version, says update, but I cannot find how to update it?
Okay, thank you. Was hoping some new update to cure restarting issues, media stick issues etc.Reckon it is up-to-date. Been having a conversation on this thread. 23.1 was cìted as the latest you got 23.2... e.g.. Feb 2023. One month on.
Reckon the button just says update but probably doesn't say "nothing to update". ?
Software version
Unfortunately, in the "guest" mode, when I get into the car, I am at "maximum privacy". I'm changing it to "public location". But unfortunately it didn’t help. I will be in the car in 2 hours and I’ll also try to take a photo of what it looks like on me.www.seatcupra.net
With connected services it should be automatic... if we are not at cross purposes. Think you wanting maps beyond 23.2 ?. Which I doubt you'd get 23.3 till April. Bow out of firmware discussion on mib3.
That link above going in at that point, above and below we substantiate that if connect services do run out since you don't want to re-subscribe you can update the maps like mib2 high, twice a year. It had been said you can't on a Seat mib3 but you can. Really an option for those that don't want connect service but want the maps updated, even if using Google maps people find in an emergency, having the in car maps useful e.g.. phone breaks, foreign country etc.
It's your firmware code 0809 which is the release you are on, so the question whether that's the latest, bugs on it etc. Reckon I've seen that release on Arona in conversations. Leon and Formentors have a different code.Okay, thank you. Was hoping some new update to cure restarting issues, media stick issues etc.
Sorry to tell you, but the New Seat has a known issue with the Infotainment software. There is also the issue of universal touchscreen which Seat acknowledge was a mistake and it has proved unpopular. Look for Climate control buttons on new versions. The infotainment system misfires - SOS go to a workshop seems to be the most common, Others are 'Stay in Lane' 'Exceeding Speed Limit' 'How may I help you?' The Radio switches itself off, the auxiliary heating comes on, the Sat Nav goes blank, etc - Take it back there is a three-hour software up recall going on at the moment which Seat (presumably) thinks will fix it. Seat Customer care and communication on this have been poor.Hello
Is there an expert here that knows how the infotainment system works fully?
I am having a few issues with it on car bought in December
There is a peak at mib4 I think in the video here with temperature setting more easily found:Sorry to tell you, but the New Seat has a known issue with the Infotainment software. I'm waiting for mib5. There is a 5 year cycle of each mib apart 2.5 that brought in connect services to non Seats. So you aren't going to see any change in the menu handling till circa 2025.
Well we can improve on your 22.12 navigation database with this:Hello Tell and everyone else....
Sorry to revise a July 2023 Thread, however I was just wondering if anyone can tell me, if this is the latest software ?
Might be prudent to add that we are in Australia and we are always a few years behind.
Not sure what this system is... M3 or 2 or something else... it has all confused me a little but I will learn.
Is a Cupra Ateca VZx Build 2024 (sorry can't remember month right now) and it has several annoying issues with shutting down after turning off car... and not remember what media source or file is being played.
Details below.
Device Part Number 575035876G
Hardware H31
Software 0442

You are absolutely correct Tell and thanks for responding so promptly... we do NOT have connected services in Australia.Well we can improve on your 22.12 navigation database with this:
Updating the inbuilt Mib3 Satnav Offline
I'm reporting! Ignition on, door open and you're done. It updated after 30 minutes, but I'll leave the pendrive working. This is not a topic about Navi. Update 1988 arrived, I installed it via OTA. I checked the list in service mode, except for 2 modules, all are Y. My question is, is this...www.seatcupra.net
I dont think you have connected services in Australia so offline maps are useful. That link gives you the rest of the world Australia file. Instructions and pdf are in post 1 of that thread.
I will attempt to magic up @East Yorkshire Retrofits who are experts on firmware. Generally now you cant do firmware updates as a DIY task. It isnt supported by Vag, probably never was, so they have gone out of their way to clamp down on it. Map updates are different from firmware updates and those you can do yourself especially if you dont have connect services. Some people do... but prone to difficulties.
The 0442 firmware is different from the Leon 4 series. But I'll dig a hole for myself so I'll get out quick. The issues you read about are on the xxxx then people try to jump that leading letter. Like mib2 standard they get in a mess and that firmware isnt officially available in anycase and other stuff needs to be done.
You might have newer firmware than that but then @East Yorkshire Retrofits will say take it to your dealer in OZ. They will know. I do eyeball those libraries to check.
No the maps are separate from the firmware. If the firmware is updated it doesn't revert the maps.
The map will only get updated if the update is fine. There is strong validation of the file. Why you have to get it into the direction as expected. PCs are fine. Mac you have to use clean my drive. On the positive side Australian maps are comparitely small compared to Europe so it wont take long.
If using a PC you can use the built in filemanager on w10 or w11 and drag and drop the unzipped contents. PDFs show you the process. Teething problems if you use an adaptor for usb a to c if it doesnt support data.
It's just presentation is exacting. Get it right and it will

Yes the Australia one is on that link I gave youI use Windows and Android... no Apple here.
Are you suggesting that I can procure a Maps file and update it myself, via a USB stick ?
That seems fanciful and scary all at the same time... lol.
I presume my Maps (Navigation 22.12) are December 2022.
Thanks for your words again Tell, you must be up late, presuming you are in the UK.
