Afraid its old maps and that
coding fix per the map . Vag don't want to know about it.
The expert is an Audi driver who said no can do. He's a programmer that is familiar with TMC... thinks it may be in their work somewhere or something. The Briskoda person different from that guy lifted it from work that Australian boards had done to port Australian TMC onto VAGs cars out there. Once they moved to TomTom maps they were stuck. Then they washed it through the toolkit. The Audi driver programmer took their work and recompiled those modules. Github has a library to read those OVR files (think it was OVR) what ever those modules are and recompiled them tinkering with the TMC group.
The HERE Maps original maps have all the handles on them to port across TMC providers whilst the TomTom ones don't. You'd have to decompose the maps which the Audi driver said they were not going to do. The guy did the same work, the OVR port for French boards that had a similar issue... they got in touch with him and said with have the same issue of a TMC provider closing down.
The interest is in Australia, UK and France... if a break through was made in using current TomTom maps. Inrix generates more local reports than Traffic Master ever did. Seems it's either fed from reports of work and traffic speed. Locally it puts up a road works sign but it actually means slow moving traffic so to me that's generated like Google Maps from traffic speed but sticks up a road works sign. Often does that when a roundabout gets busy. You find gas works in it, road work, traffic signs plus these novel uses.
The fix for mib2 standard is here:
Just updated to latest maps. First time I've updated them since I got the car. Sat nav works fine so far, new roads in my area now included. Scanned my car with carista and car scanner pro app and getting a Navigation database not enabled error code. As I say, it seems to be working fine, just...

For completeness mib2 high and mib1 is here. Both are on Here Maps, a simple VCDS /
Obdeleven TMC group code change can be made, 15 to 14:

& mib3 you have to fork out for connect services if you want to use mib3 maps with traffic reports. By that stage they had taken TMC out of the maps. Just online only.
