Hi everyone,

I own a Seat Ibiza 2022 1.0 TSI 110hp Style DSG.

At my 60,000 km service, I asked for a software update for the MIB unit because:

  • When connecting my phone, I got the message “accessory not supported.”
  • When trying to use CarPlay with a cable, the system displayed “USB does not contain data” and did not recognize my phone (I had to connect it manually).

The system was updated to version 1800. After this update, a new issue appeared: on the main screen (where Front Assist, Lane Assist and ESP menus normally appear), a permanent message now shows: “Function is not available.”

I reported this to the service before taking the car back. After discussions with the manufacturer, they told me:

  • This layout will stay as it is,
  • The “function is not available” message will always remain,
  • According to TPI, no further action should be taken.

Unfortunately, my original CarPlay/connection issue still remains, and now this additional problem has appeared after the update.

? Has anyone else had this problem after updating to 1800?
? Is there a known fix (maybe coding, firmware rollback, or another update)?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Try pressing and holding the line above the green widget for about 5–10 seconds, then pull it down. This should open the widget menu for editing widgets. Next, try sending the third widget to the trash. After that, tap the + button to add it again, or choose another widget you’d like to have there. Let me know if you were successful.
I found this instruction somewhere, but I haven’t tried it on my car yet.

I have the same situation on my SEAT Ibiza 2024 Edition 40 after the authorized service applied the update from software version 1790 to 1800.
