Hi everyone,

I own a Seat Ibiza 2022 1.0 TSI 110hp Style DSG.

At my 60,000 km service, I asked for a software update for the MIB unit because:

  • When connecting my phone, I got the message “accessory not supported.”
  • When trying to use CarPlay with a cable, the system displayed “USB does not contain data” and did not recognize my phone (I had to connect it manually).

The system was updated to version 1800. After this update, a new issue appeared: on the main screen (where Front Assist, Lane Assist and ESP menus normally appear), a permanent message now shows: “Function is not available.”

I reported this to the service before taking the car back. After discussions with the manufacturer, they told me:

  • This layout will stay as it is,
  • The “function is not available” message will always remain,
  • According to TPI, no further action should be taken.

Unfortunately, my original CarPlay/connection issue still remains, and now this additional problem has appeared after the update.

? Has anyone else had this problem after updating to 1800?
? Is there a known fix (maybe coding, firmware rollback, or another update)?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Try pressing and holding the line above the green widget for about 5–10 seconds, then pull it down. This should open the widget menu for editing widgets. Next, try sending the third widget to the trash. After that, tap the + button to add it again, or choose another widget you’d like to have there. Let me know if you were successful.
I found this instruction somewhere, but I haven’t tried it on my car yet.

I have the same situation on my SEAT Ibiza 2024 Edition 40 after the authorized service applied the update from software version 1790 to 1800.

Same issue here after patching from 1541 to 1800. Suggested fix to delete the widged does not work unfortunately.
Any suggestions? Can i go back to the old version?

Unfortunately, the photo is completely useless. Officially, you can only get an invalid FeC by reactivating the function online using ODIS. Reverting to the old firmware won't help. I'm not sure if there's a patch available for this model.

That was on my mind because I saw that 0006100 SWaP/FeC code became invalid for some reason after the latest update. And that FeC code is responsible for that bar and the vehicle status.
So, can the problem be solved by reactivating the function online using ODIS?

00060100 SWaP/FEC means ,,Car data monitoring enable,, .
I have the same MIB3 and 00060100 isn't activated, but Front Assist, Lane Assist and ASR menus are visible (SW 1761).
Maybe not 00060100 SWaP/FEC is the right reason.

Can you take a picture of your screen and the MMI so I can see how that bar looks on your home screen?

Your software version is 1761, and mine was 1790 when it worked. After updating to 1800, that home screen bar got messed up.

Yep, this is exactly how it was before the dealer updated my MMI to the latest SW version 1800.
So they messed up that bar with the latest update.

Now I only see the message “Start the engine” when I turn the key to ignition but don’t start the engine immediately. After I start the engine, the message changes to “This function is not available” all the time, and you can’t do anything with that bar.

Maybe I'm going to say somenthing not usefull or even stupid, but, however in other similar cases (on Citroen and Ford cars) the problem was not the car, but the mobile...
The only suggestion I can give you is try to restart your mobile.

This issue has nothing to do with mobile devices. It concerns the infotainment system functions and its software version, where functionalities that worked in the previous version are no longer available in the latest version.
