Hi,
Recently I have bought Cupra Formentor 2025 Facelift.
I have noticed that power windows doesn't work up direction after i roll them down completely.
But if i roll them down manually (not all the way down) then the power window roll up and everything works.
This issue happens only on the front doors.
Back doors power window and manually works fine.

I have tried reset the power switch, but it doesn't help or i did it wrong. It seems like when the window get to the down point it stuck the module.

One more question,
The windows doesn't go all the way down on all four doors, is it commmon on Formentor?

Thanks.

I have similar issues on my 2025 formentor, but for me they will open sometimes if I try to close them. Also only effects windows on front doors, also happens sometimes when using comfort windows function from my key. I booked a repair at my dealer, will update when I get more info

Same car here (2025 Cupra Formentor VZ) and I’m seeing the same thing: sometimes when I pull up to close the driver’s window it suddenly goes down or reverses near the top like the anti‑pinch is overreacting, even though nothing is in the way.

Same issue on my 2025 Formentor VZ, gf tried to roll down the window on passager side which worked fine but then when rolling it back up it malfunctioned and still went down. Any news @petrolhead_uk ?
my dealer took in my car for a day and said they fixed it by calibrating the sensors
the issue still persists for me tho and now I have an error on one of the doors
Code:
B148754 - Motor for window regulator - No basic setting

I will book another visit after the holidays and update you guys when I know more

Out of curiosity, what version of software do you chaps have on your infotainment systems?

2768 is available via the PV4 update suite, that could well resolve the window issue.

My car is currently running on update 2632 and has none of the window issues described in the thread (touch wood). The people reporting these issues seem to be running on a later(?) OTA update (2650). Does this mean that update 2650 has CAUSED the issue - or am I barking up the wrong tree?

...or do they issue different updates for different variants of the same model (I presume they do)?

That's possible. I wish if Cupra/Seat/WV would provide release notes for each update. It would help us troubleshoot these issue

Well, well well - I've had a window issue (driver's window) this evening too, as follows...

I pull the switch up to 'auto close' the window - it gets to the top, then drops about 1/3 of the way back down again.

Temporary Fix...
Eventually I managed to get it to stay closed by pulling the button, bit by bit, gently up to fully closed (using the 'manual' method, as opposed to auto-close).

Possible Clue or Red Herring?...
As it was warm today, I'd had both front windows open slightly. I wonder if something in the door has warped or swollen in the warmth, cause the window to feel excess pressure? It was cool again when I tried to close the windows.

Help, anyone?...
Does anyone have either a solution to this issue, or know of a reset procedure? My previous cars had a reset procedure that used to work well if, for example the battery had been disconnected.

EDIT: - It just got a bit worse. Now the 'one touch' auto-close won't work at all. The driver's window will only close if you continue to hold the switch all the way up. If you hold the switch in the 1st position it stays shut, but if you hold the switch in the 2nd position it closes then drops down a few inches.

UPDATE
Sorted - I did the reset procedure again and all is back to normal.

Anyone remember these?...

They never went wrong, did they?

Oh they did. Had the handle fall of a Peugeot 205 back in the day.
My sister had a Fiesta which was affectionately known to us as the Fiasco due to its less than fabulous build quality and reliability. People on here complain about the Formentor having issues. You have no idea, The winder mechanism broke and let the glass drop and it was then stuck with a gap of about 4 inches at the top. I recall taking the door card off and stripping the mechanism down and greasing it. The ignition auto advance and retard on the distributor seized making it run like and asthmatic tractor. It went through 2 wheel bearings. The fuel gauge had a mind of its own. The steering was very heavy, seemingly connected by telepathy, and had little bearing on which direction the wheels actually pointed. The heater had 2 settings, non-existent arctic or Taiwanese sweat shop and nothing in-between. The rear screen heater was an optional extra and proved useful for keeping your hands warm as you pushed it to the fuel station, having run out of fuel again due to the fuel gauge fault.

Well it was certainly character building. It did provide some entertainment as to what might break next. I believe if you have an Alfa Romeo it is known as "charm and character". I'd call it a right PITA.
On the plus side, as it was a very basic car, it could usually be fixed with basic tools and knowledge. Unlike modern cars that require sonic screwdrivers, oscilloscopes, laptops and an PHD in computer science to fix the simplest of faults. Even batteries need to be "coded" to the car these days. Quite ridiculous really,
