Model Year 21/22 What tyres Asytmetric 6 or Turanza 6 Formentor VZ

Four years old; rubber is getting old and hard.

When properly stored and proper pressure has been kept during driving that kind of cracking should not happen at 4 years.
Mine just passed 5 years and the only reason I have to swap them this year realistically is tread wear.

Advice from tyre manufacturers, here in the UK, is to change at five years, latest. Full stop.

I don't disagree, 5 years is definitely a smart time to change and my main motivator next to tread wear.
The images he shared however look like those are nearing 10 years while the DOT says 3922. Looks like something else beside age.

these are mine tyres with only 30k km on it (DOT is 46 22). Came from Germany with 3.5 bar pressure in it. front left almost worn out, next year will be replaced by Hankook k137 (new Evo) or Michelin Primacy 5 or GY AS6, haven't decided yet. Looks like Hankook made a great tyre this time and it's cheaper than Michelin or GoodYear. And the point is to make my Formentor more comfortable, suspension seems too stiff for me (as long as I own diesel 4drive version, I'm not a speedy driver)

I'd be changing those NOW before the winter, not waiting until next year.

Much as the legal limit, in the UK, is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre's width, around its entire circumference, the ability of a tyre to clear water drops appreciably below 3mm tread depth.

Just my two pence worth.

well it's just one tyre in this condition, others are better than this one. more than 2-3 above indicator. And my job is just 2km away from home, so it's ok for me for now
