Hi all

The car is running fairly well, except for one little annoying thing.

For a while now, hot or cold, going through about 1500rpm, there is sometimes a momentarily hesitation, very rarely the rpms might drop suddenly at idle.

There are no fault codes, new plugs recently, new maf, I've done a smoke test and replaced a number of pipes.

The car has done 195k. And I've owned it from new, really well looked after, always posh fuel.

Is it worth replacing the injectors, they are still original. And seem pretty cheap tbh and looks an easy job.

Any thoughts on whether this is just a waste of time/money, and whether i should look at something else??

Thanks

Thanks nam
I chat GPT the fault and it came up with the same suggestion.
I've ordered the additive, it also suggested a throttle body clean and reset.
Next culprit statistically is a weak coil pack.
I'll do these things in order and see what happens.
Thank you

Once I did a throttle body clean and reset and the stutter went away.

just make sure you don't put the full bottle in as its a concentrate unlike off the shelf, nope you got the 500ml looking at price
1st Application Dose Rate: 2:1 Use 2ml Hydra PIC-24 to 1 litres of fuel.
Maintenance Dose Rate: 1:1 Use 1ml Hydra PIC-24 to 1 litres of fuel.

Hi nam
Additive is currently in and a throttle body clean has been done.
I can't get it to 'ok' the ADP fully though, seems the voltage might be dropping enough to fail.
It seems a lot better, I'm going to hook it up to another car while I run the test to see if I can keep the voltage above the threshold.

once around system give it a run and put it in everytime you fuel up .. what i do is carry a fuel can and put some in that before tank then add the additive to the fuel can, as at least then you know its fully mixed and not running down the filler neck
